Hi friends!

It’s been a long time!

To be transparent we have been trying to find a way to reinvent MayBug Lane in a way that supports the community, our busy lives, and doesn’t compete with the already amazing businesses that call Thayer home.

We think we stumbled on an idea—and it’s fabulous—but we aren’t quite ready to share yet.

Just know our pretty little teal trailer isn’t going anywhere just yet! 🩵🩵🩵🩵

We will keep you in the loop as we progress. Just know it will be yummy 😋 🤤

Today is National Espresso Day!

Did you know that the art of espresso is just that…an art!

For a coffee shop to maintain good espresso they must readjust their grind throughout the day. It also takes special tools to “fluff” the espresso and a certain pressure to tamp grinds. Depending on the roast of beans, certain temperatures are necessary extract the flavors of the beans just right. While good machines are necessary to the work we do, the majority of the work comes from the barista.

It’s easy to hide poorly extracted espresso under syrup and milk, a great barista will welcome you to drink their espresso straight and tell you exactly what to expect! ❤️

Did you know October is Down Syndrome Awareness Month 💛💙

This is especially important for us here at MayBug Lane!

The “Bug” in our name is the nickname for someone especially important; Molly’s sister Haley (Buggy) who was born with Down Syndrome. 🦋🦋

She is one of our biggest supporters and inspirations. She also happens to be a coffee aficionado ☕️. Meaning before any drink or flavor gets to the menu it goes through her first. And she will only accept the best of ingredients!

Your support of us, goes deeper than you will ever know! 💙💛💙💛

We want to thank everyone who came out to the Thayer Farmers Market yesterday. It was an amazing event and it was so wonderful seeing all of you there!

Hello everyone!

We want to thank you all who have and continue to support us. We have had some wonderful changes that just recently have come to our family that requires us to spend more time at our home in Colorado. These changes will ultimately help us in our goal of revitalizing the buildings that we have in Thayer. This does not mean that we have totally disbanded the coffee shop or trailer, but it does mean that we need to take a step back for a while (there just isn’t enough of us to go around and coffee isn’t that lucrative 😜).

We will pop in and out every once in a while and will be doing special events and festivals, but for now we will not regularly be set up in Thayer. We will continue to post on this page any updates we have!

Thank you for continuing to support us and when we are in town we hope you stop by to say hi!

Hello Everyone!
Unfortunately we had a family emergency and will not be open this weekend.

Molly’s mom Jeanie had to undergo emergency surgery for a shattered ankle yesterday and her recovery will take a few weeks.

This means we will most likely be operating as a pop up shop for the time being. We will let you all know when and where we will be, right here on the page.

In the meantime, if you have any special events coming up, we would love to work with you and get you on the calendar!
