Last year the City of Tigard hit all the food cart PODs with a FAKE EMERGENCY ORDINANCE that destroyed Baller Park and hit the other operators with tens of thousands with fee's. They retroactively demanded $13,500 PER CART! in SDC fees, $5k in permits. Require a stand alone Taco Truck at a gas station to go through a type 2 planning process, require site plan reviews, ODOT traffic studies, neighborhood notices!

After a year of pleading with the City leaders, we finally filed a $2.5 million dollar Federal 1983 lawsuit against Tigard, and community SAMBO KIRKMAN and Economic Director Danelle Hauther. Even the City claims DEI, It was evident the City doesn't want food carts in Tigard. Luckily we were permitted prior which gives us grandfathered rights, so we decided to re-open and give FREE SPACE to FOOD CARTS owners for 90 days! Churches and Social groups and anyone who wants to run a weekend thrift market. WE WANT TO RE-BUILD WHAT THE CITY TRIED TO DESTROY!
