Some weekends are about overcoming obstacles, and this was definitely one of them. Between the heavy rains and unexpected tow rig issues, Team BeerBod had to battle through more than just the competition. While we didn’t manage to earn a walk, we were able to finish 18th Overall in a very stacked field.

Father’s Day weekends like this brings back a lot of memories. Growing up, I followed my dad around to cook-offs, learning more than I ever realized at the time. Now, getting to spend this weekend with my youngest daughter at a cook-off is something truly special.
I feel incredibly blessed to have both my father and my youngest daughter by my side today. Three generations making memories together, doing something we love.
We’re all set up at the Holland Corn Festival in Holland, Texas, representing Team BeerBod BBQ. Wish us luck this weekend! But more importantly, remember to slow down, make memories, and spend time with the people who matter most. Family is what it’s all about. ❤️🔥🐖

🌽🔥 Up Next for Team BeerBod BBQ!

The countdown is on! Team BeerBod BBQ is loading up and heading to the Holland Corn Festival for the 8th Annual David Decker Memorial Cook-Off on June 20th!

We’ve had this one circled on the calendar for a while. If you’re making your way to Holland, be sure to stop by our cook site, say hello, and grab a bag of our famous BeerBod Beer Snacks (a.k.a. popcorn 🍿). They make the perfect snack while you check out some of the best BBQ teams around.

We’re looking forward to a weekend filled with great food, great friends, fierce competition, and making memories that will last a lifetime.

This weekend, Team BeerBod decided to do a little pop-up and head to a non-sanctioned People’s Choice and Brisket Cookoff.

Trust me, we brought some great proteins to the table, but this time they just weren’t a match for the judges. That’s BBQ—sometimes you win, and sometimes you learn.

The best part of the weekend wasn’t about trophies or calls. It was about having a great time with Bigg E BBQ, meeting a lot of new friends, and getting Team BeerBod’s name out there. We enjoyed visiting with the locals, sharing some good food, and letting people know who we are.

Showing up doesn’t always mean showing out, but we still had an absolute blast on Saturday. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our site to visit, talk BBQ, and support us. We truly appreciate each and every one of you.

A special thank you to Heart of Texas RV Pros for keeping us a cool place to escape the Texas heat. It’s a great feeling knowing your staff helps keep our rig in top shape and ready for the road. That peace of mind means a lot to our team.

We’ll regroup, reload, and get ready for the next one.

Another cookoff in the books for Team BeerBod BBQ!

The Buckholts Cotton Festival definitely tested everyone this weekend. Between the heavy rain and a stacked field of 40 talented cook teams all battling it out for a $12,000 payout, it was anybody’s game.

We were proud of the boxes we turned in and thankful to hear our name called with a 🥉 3rd Place Brisket finish!

As always, we learned a few things, had a great time with friends, and enjoyed competing against some of the best pitmasters around.

A huge congratulations to PS I❤️BBQ on earning Grand Champion honors! Well deserved in a tough field.

A special thank you to Heart of Texas RV Pros LLC for helping keep our rig rolling every weekend. Their support and service give us one less thing to worry about while we’re out chasing BBQ dreams across Texas.

We’ll keep grinding, keep learning, and keep chasing that next walk.

Another weekend in the books for Team BeerBod BBQ at the BBQ for the Brave Cookoff in Elgin, Texas!
Not exactly the finish we were looking for, but that's competition BBQ. Some weekends you get the calls, and some weekends you get the lessons. Either way, we're blessed to be out here doing what we love.

A huge THANK YOU to the crew at Heart Of Texas RV Pros, LLC for coming out Friday night to check over the rigs and make sure everyone was ready for the weekend. Your support of the BBQ community does not go unnoticed, and we appreciate everything you do to help keep us rolling down the road.

We would also like to thank Leonard Love, Kim Love, Amanda Beran, and the International Barbeque Cookers Association for putting on a well-organized, smoothly run competition. Events like this don't happen without countless hours of hard work behind the scenes, and it showed all weekend long. Thank you for everything you do for the competitors and the BBQ community.

This Memorial Day, Team BeerBod BBQ wants to take a moment to remember and honor the men and women who gave everything for this country. Freedom isn’t free, and today we remember the heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice so we can enjoy time with family, friends, freedom, and backyard BBQs.

Today the smokers are rolling, the ribs are smoking low and slow, and the flags are flying high. 🇺🇸

Team BeerBod landed out in West, Texas for the Cody Dragoo Memorial Barbecue Cookoff. This has always been one of our favorite competitions. It’s a fun, well-ran event that raises money for students and keeps the BBQ community together. Even after fighting through the Friday night storms, we managed to keep the pits rolling. Unfortunately, we didn’t get any walks in the meat categories this weekend, but it wasn’t a total washout for Team BeerBod. We finally managed to grab the last walk in beans with a 1st Place Jackpot Beans finish!

Now it’s back to the drawing board to work on some time management skills before the next cookoff. Every weekend is another chance to learn and get better.
