Saturday will be the last chicken processing for the year! The chickens are large and will be great for a large roast chicken for your family or a company dinner. I cooked a large one last night with lemons, garlic, thyme, rosemary and oregano stuffed in the cavity and used olive oil, salt and pepper on the outside. I roasted it for 2 hours at 350 and it was super moist and delicious. The best part is I have lots left for a casserole and then we will make soup after that. I love fall! Let me know asap if you want a chicken this Saturday. email me at [email protected]

By the way we have one orange female kitten, 9 weeks old that would love to be adopted!

Have a wonderful day everyone!

Hearts and livers are available separately if you want them. The chickens should be about 3-4 lbs. We also have some available for Oct. 5 and they will be larger, about 6 lbs.

Had a great processing day for chickens last Saturday. We have more meat chickens coming and should be ready to process the end of September.

We just can't seem to keep away from the things we love. We really love to raise our own chickens for meat. We will be processing July 27th and still have some whole chickens available to preorder. They will be $4/lb.

We want to apologize for lack of communication these last couple months. We have moved and are no longer planning on selling at the Farmers Market. We still have our goats and a few chickens and we will always try to grow our own food, but we are unable to do that in the quantities we have in the past to sell. The Lord graciously provided a buyer for our place even though it wasn't for sale and gave us a smaller place in Wade. The lack of posting was from catching up from the move and all the work we are doing here to make this house livable.

Thank you faithful customers for your support and encouragement in the past and thank you new followers for caring about healthy eating and the small sustainable farms! I want to encourage you to support the Fayetteville Farmers Market and especially our friends at Our Father's Farm. They will offer much that you will enjoy and may sell some of our goat's milk soap while that holds out.

We will be bringing lots of eggplant to market tomorrow, so plan your menus now! Let me know what your favorite way is to fix eggplant. We also have some beautiful peppers and tomatoes and we will see what else tonight. We may have some figs to bring. Remember the hours for the Fayetteville Farmers Market are now Saturdays 8AM to 1PM and Wednesdays 2PM to 6PM.

I can't complain about the rain, but I did cut a lot of flowers today and I hope the weather isn't too bad to take them to The Fayetteville Farmers Market tomorrow!
