🎃 Hey Pure Grit fam!

We had such a great time last night handing out pulled pork sandwiches and business cards for Halloween (and treats for the kids)! It was awesome seeing everyone out and about — we love this community and appreciate all the new faces who stopped by.

If you’re new here, welcome! 👋 We’re a small, family-run setup — mostly doing weekend pop-ups and special event catering. We also take custom orders when we can, so if you’ve got something coming up and want some good BBQ, just give us a little notice and we’ll do our best to make it happen!

Also, if you’ve had a chance to try our food, we’d love it if you left us a quick review here on Facebook. It helps more than you know and keeps the fire going (literally 😅).

And on a personal note — we announced in September that we were taking some time away to welcome our sweet baby girl. We’ve been soaking up all the love and baby snuggles from the newest Pure Grit family member! 💕 We thank you all for being patient with us as we find our rhythm again!

We’re so grateful for y’all’s support. Can’t wait to fire things up again soon 🔥

💛 A Heartfelt Thank You 💛

We just want to take a moment to say thank you to our family, friends, and community for all the love and support you’ve shown Pure Grit BBQ Co in these first few weeks. From preorders to kind words to sharing our posts, it truly means the world to us.

As many of you know, we’re also counting down to another big arrival — our baby girl (the newest member of Pure Grit) is due any day now! 👶✨

With that, we’ll be taking the next few weeks off from BBQ and catering orders so we can welcome her into the world and spend some much-needed time bonding as a family.

We can’t wait to get back at it soon, serving up the BBQ you love and sharing this next chapter with you. Until then, thank you for cheering us on in both business and in life — we are truly so blessed! 💛

The Cy-Hawk showdown kicks off at 11am Saturday, and we’ve got your tailgate covered. Preorders are open now for smoked BBQ — pickup at 10AM Saturday in Waukee so you’ll be fueled up before kickoff!

👉 All orders must be prepaid and ordering will close Thursday September 4th, at NOON so we can get everything ready.
