Hello my friends! 👋

I just wanted to pop on here to wish you all the best. Perfect Plate has been on my mind a lot lately, as I’ve been driving by the old location this past weekend. We are set up with our funnel cake trailer right down the street at 4605 N Maize Rd for the next week.

But anywho, I stopped in front of the store yesterday and took a moment to reminisce. Perfect Plate was something special. You all brought community to me when I needed it the most. I learned SO MUCH during that time and I just wanted to thank you for walking that road with me for 6 years of my life! It is a cherished memory.

I turned 39 last Saturday and I’m feelin’ fine! This was birthday dress 2025. ❤️🥰

When I closed Perfect Plate, I promised that I’d keep my customers updated on any meal prep options and gluten free education out there. So let me introduce Jamelah from “Nourish with Jamelah.” She used to operate Nourish ICT, another meal prep company. We both closed our meal prep chapter around the same time.

We have become such great friends and she is a book of knowledge in all things holistic living. Her recent passion is to hold gluten free cooking classes at Mark Arts! She has a pizza class and a cookie class coming up, always 100% gluten free.

I used to have customers who would seek cinnamon glazed nuts during The Nutcracker Ballet and Christmas! My husband and I still make them out of our food truck! If you find yourself needing some stocking stuffers or gifts for the office, I’d love to make some nuts for you! Just give me a shout!

A little life update! 👋

After Halloween, face painters and food truck operators breathe a sigh of relief! 😮‍💨 The season of Fall festivals means it is grind time. It was far from easy but we eventually figured out the dynamic. Doug worked tirelessly and I’m so proud of him and us! Our team really stuck through with us too and we are so grateful!

Now we start attending events to sell Doug’s nuts!! Does anyone remember those delicious nuts I sold at Perfect Plate?? You can still get them if you’re interested! 😋 One gal used to seek us out to purchase nuts to take to The Nutcracker performance every year. Want to know my favorite part about nut season!? I get to dress up like Santa’s Elf and totally play it up. I love being silly and nut puns are just too easy! 😍😅 I will make a post about where you can get Doug’s nuts!

Our kiddos went with The Very Hungry Caterpillar theme for Halloween, since we are a critter lovin’ family! Both of the kids are recovering pneumonia at the moment. It’s really going around!

I know I talked about having the cookbook ready by the holiday season but it wasn’t in the cards. I have lavished in being able to spend more time with my babes and take care of them. It feels good to not be spread so thin. Thank you for your patience and understanding! When the time is right, I’ll be able to get that cookbook done.

It has been nice to see some familiar Perfect Plate faces at our food truck!

Today and tomorrow will be our LAST TWO DAYS of service at 45th and Maize road. We had lots of requests more days so we pulled some strings and made it happen!

It’s my birthday so I’m taking the opportunity to do a shameless plug for our funnel cake wagon to be set up in Maize! 😋

Saturday and Sunday (29th & 30th), Watt’s Cooking and Catering will be set up at 4605 N Maize Road, next to the fireworks stand! We will be open Noon-9/10pm.
