A nice little kitchen in Acton presented a difficult set of issues. It seems that after the kitchen was designed, the contractor changed the floor from vinyl to hardwood, AND re-boarded the ceiling. The result was a loss of over 1" in height to ceiling. compounded by a large dip in the ceiling and a rollercoaster floor, I had homework to do.

A lot of this was project was posted as the bench project, but, now finally complete, the kitchen is up and running.

I was recently flattered when a local gentleman thought enough of my work to assume that I'd be able to build him a hidden doorway over his existing bulkhead door. Taking into consideration that allowances had to be made for applied faux stonework, hinges were out of the question. I had to spec bearings for pivots, fabricate assemblies, then fill the space between with cabinetry. Here's the play-by-play.

I just completed this stick built banquette and thought I'd share some photos. This project was done in conjunction with my installing all cabinetry as well as 6 Wolf/Sub Zero appliances.

I have recently completed testing through Sub-Zero/Wolf appliances to become a Factory Certified Installer. What this means to the consumer is that, by having one such as myself install your new Sub-Zero/Wolf appliance, you are granted an additional 1 year extended warranty, free of charge, through Sub-Zero/Wolf. As one of the few installers in the region with the primary career in woodworking, I can also handle cabinetry modifications to accept your new appliance, as handle the set-up/installation of overlay doors on your new refrigerator.

These recent transplants from Jolly Old wanted to create the feel of a vintage London kitchen. Incorporating Carrera Marble tops atop custom cabinetry in their own unique shade of blue , vintage lighting, tile imported from England for the subway patterned backsplash, glass cabinet k***s, period lighting and retro appliances it truly has the feel of "Grandmas kitchen"
