Growing up in Chico’s wonderful farming community was a blessing as a young food enthusiast, without even realizing we were years ahead of a very popular food trend “Local and Fresh”. My family always had a large garden with a great variety of produce, we raised our own eggs, chicken and pork, we fished in the spring, hunted in the fall and winter. All of our food was free range and organic, we ca
nned and bottled all kinds of wonderful things to be shared with family friends and for our consumption at a later time. It is with fond memories that I look back at the places I have created and cooked, I have realized that each of those places still have small pieces of me and I have taken small pieces of them. The relationships that have been made with coworkers and patrons will last a lifetime, I believe this because of the amount of passion that goes into the preparing of meals, whether it’s a staff meal, a couples Wedding Menu, an Easter Brunch or a 50th Wedding Anniversary Dinner (My Favorite). I have come to conclude that my passion is with the guest, there expectation and experience is the most important aspect of every event no matter how big or how small. I strive to impress every guest with the freshest products, the cleanest culinary techniques and beautiful presentation. As a Chico local it seems every event I do there are friends and family present, I love that.
