In Cornwall, stories were never separate from life.
⠀
They were not told for entertainment. They were a way of understanding a world that could not be controlled.
⠀
The Bucca is one of those stories.
⠀
Not a creature in the usual sense, but a presence... something felt rather than seen. A way to speak about the sea. Its generosity. Its danger. And the need for balance. Over time, this idea moved beyond folklore.
It became a way of thinking.
⠀
Of taking only what can be sustained.
Of respecting the land and the sea.
Of understanding that nothing exists on its own.
⠀
This is where Bucca Mor begins.
