This homemade shawarma is loaded with juicy chicken & creamy garlic sauce

🌯 Shawarma (Juicy Chicken + Creamy Garlic Sauce)
Ingredients:
• 500g chicken (boneless thighs)
• 2 tbsp shawarma seasoning
• 3 tbsp yogurt
• 2 tbsp olive oil
• 2 tbsp lemon juice
• 1 tbsp garlic (paste)
• 1 tsp salt
• 1/2 cup mayonnaise
• 1/4 cup yogurt
• 3–4 garlic cloves (crushed)
• 1 tbsp lemon juice
• 1 tbsp olive oil
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1/4 tsp black pepper
• 3–4 pita breads
• Lettuce (chopped)
• Tomato (sliced)
• Onion (thinly sliced)
• Cucumber (optional)
• Pickles (optional)
Instructions:
1. In a bowl, mix yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic paste, shawarma seasoning, and salt. Add chicken and coat well. Marinate for at least 1 hour (overnight for best flavor).
2. Cook the chicken in a pan over medium heat for 10–12 minutes until fully cooked and slightly charred. Set aside.
3. In another bowl, prepare the garlic sauce by mixing mayonnaise, yogurt, crushed garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and black pepper until smooth and creamy. Chill for 15–20 minutes.
4. Warm the pita bread on a pan until soft.
5. Spread a generous layer of garlic sauce on the bread.
6. Add cooked shawarma chicken in the center.
7. Top with lettuce, tomato, onion, cucumber, and pickles.
8. Drizzle more garlic sauce on top.
9. Roll tightly and lightly toast on a pan for a crispy finish.
