After 30+ years in our family, the time has come to say goodbye to this chapter of The Annerley Kitchen.
Saturday, June 27th will be our final day of trade as the bakery you’ve come to know and love.
This decision has been incredibly difficult. As our family has grown, so have the demands of running a small business, and we’ve reached a point where it’s time to put family first and reclaim some precious time with our children.
For me, this bakery has been home since I was 10 years old, helping after school and on weekends. It began with my aunty, was passed on to my parents, and 11 years ago Tu and I proudly took over. To still see customers walking through the same doors after all these years is something we will never take for granted.
To our loyal customers, thank you. Thank you for your support, your conversations, your laughter, and for making The Annerley Kitchen part of your lives. To our staff, thank you for helping build the business into what it is today.
While we’re closing this chapter, we’re excited to begin another. I’ll be following my dream of opening a cake studio, focusing on custom cakes, cookies and cupcakes. New branding and a new website are coming soon, and I hope you’ll continue to support us on this next journey.
Over the coming weeks, please drop in for one more pie, one more bánh mì, one more burger, and a few more chats (and maybe a joke or two about the Broncos!).
