Barrel Aged Negroni at The Rising Sun.

We’ve given the classic Negroni a little time in barrel, bringing out a smoother, richer finish while keeping that familiar bitter edge.

New Wine Wednesday at The Rising Sun, where we open something special under Coravin and pour it by the glass.

Tonight, we’re pouring the 2022 Domaine Pierre Usseglio L’Unique VDF Rouge from France.

Black cherry, red berries and a little garrigue, with soft tannin and a generous southern Rhône feel. Made by the Usseglio family of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, it brings together Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Marselan and a small touch of Merlot.

First in, first served until it’s gone.

Live at The Rising Sun this Sunday from 2–5pm, featuring Crybaby Cletus.

Crybaby Cletus brings together blues, folk, old-time country and roots, led by fingerpicked acoustic guitar and smoky vocals. Expect reworked traditional songs, slower ballads and a few driving grooves for a relaxed Sunday afternoon in the front bar.

Friday nights at The Rising Sun are about more than Happy Hour.

Each Friday, we invite a local community group to join us during Happy Hour and sell tickets for our weekly meat tray raffle.

Since opening in July 2025, we’ve welcomed 11 different causes, including Auburn U2Kids Group, Auburn Cricket Team, Clare High School, the Women’s and Children’s Clare/Auburn Auxiliary, and IFarmWell.

Volunteers come in, sell the tickets, and one lucky customer takes home a meat tray supplied by our friends at Clare Valley Meats.

Drop in every Friday from 4pm to 6pm, try your luck, and help support local groups doing good things in our community.

If you’re part of a committee and would like to get on the roster, please get in touch.

New Wine Wednesday at The Rising Sun, where we open something special under Coravin and pour it by the glass.

Tonight, we’re pouring the 2021 Ochota Barrels Fugazi Grenache from McLaren Vale, Australia.

Red cherry, raspberry and a little wild herb, with fine tannin and a savoury edge. Ochota Barrels helped shape the lighter, more energetic side of Australian Grenache, and this is a lovely example of that style.

For the long weekend, we’re extending Happy Hour this Friday from 4pm to 7pm.

Drop in for a drink at the bar and enter our weekly meat tray raffle, proudly supplied by Clare Valley Meats.

This week’s raffle will help support the ifarmwell project, with proceeds going back into the local community.
