At the base of the Snowy Mountains NSW, in a town called Batlow, lives a fruit farmer named David Purcell. David is the 3rd generation of fruit growers on his family farm and loves to grow! His passion for growing shows in the beautiful, juicy fruit he produces. David loves an ice cold cider from time to time (don’t we all?). One day he took some of the fresh pressed juice from his delicious Pink

Lady apples and brewed himself up a batch of homemade cider! He was stoked on his brew and shared some with friends and family, they LOVED it! Soon people started asking him to brew them some of his delicious cider, this gave David an idea…..

Join us at The Apple Thief Cider House as part of the Snowy Valleys Sculpture Trail Winter Weekend.

On Saturday 20 June, enjoy a stand-up lunch before the unveiling of Samantha Whittingham's stunning new "Bird House" installation, the newest addition to the Snowy Valleys Sculpture Trail.

We're honoured to welcome The Hon. Andrew Bell AC, Chief Justice of New South Wales, who will officially unveil the artwork at 2pm.

Make a day of it and stay on into the evening, with dinner available at the Cider House and live music from Rory Phillips from 6pm–9pm as part of our first Saturday Session.

Following our trial of Monday and Friday dinner trading, we'll no longer be opening on those evenings.

Because it's the King's Birthday long weekend, we'll be opening for a special dinner service this Saturday, 6 June.

Join us from 5pm for great food, your favourite cider, local beer, Naughty Bird Apple Whisky and plenty of winter atmosphere by the fire.

From 20 June, we'll then be launching our new Saturday Sessions, combining live music, dinner and drinks - keep an eye on our socials for all the details.

It was a very special weekend for our team, and we’re incredibly proud to be part of the Batlow and Snowy Valleys community.

We were also honoured to welcome Michael McCormack MP and other guests to the ribbon and cake cutting celebration on Sunday.

What a weekend 🍏

A huge thank you to everyone who supported The Apple Thief across CiderFest weekend and helped us celebrate the Cider House’s 1st Birthday.

This year’s CiderFest was the biggest one yet, and Sunday — our birthday celebration day — became the busiest day we’ve ever had at the Cider House.

From the crowds at the festival, to the ribbon cutting, live music, dinners, fire pits and birthday cake, the whole weekend had such an incredible atmosphere and we’re so grateful to everyone who visited, supported us, and celebrated alongside us.

A big thank you as well to our amazing staff, suppliers, musicians, industry friends, local community and everyone behind the scenes who helped make the weekend such a success.

We’re feeling very lucky (and a little tired 😅) — but mostly just incredibly thankful.

It’s Birthday Day at The Apple Thief Cider House 🎉🍏

Today we’re celebrating ONE YEAR since opening the doors to the Cider House, and we’d love for you to join us.

The day kicks off with our official ribbon & cake cutting at 10am, followed by a relaxed afternoon with Billy Bax Music playing live from 2pm 🎶

We’ll have food, cider and good vibes flowing all day as we wrap up a huge CiderFest weekend here in Batlow.

CiderFest Day is here 🍏

You’ll find The Apple Thief pouring at CiderFest all day in front of the main stage — then when the festival wraps up, the Cider House will still be going.

Join us after a big day in Batlow for a cosy dinner, more cider, and a relaxed evening by the fire pits 🔥
