We know it's cold outside... but come on fridge. 🥶

It's winter in Beachmere, not the Arctic.

We asked for a refrigerated display cabinet and apparently received a snow-making machine instead.

After discovering enough ice inside to host a small family of penguins, we've spent this evening reminding our equipment that its job is to chill the food... not recreate the Ice Age inside!

Sophiya has qualified for the 2026 National Gymnastics Championships in Sydney, representing Queensland! 🤸‍♀️💙

This incredible achievement comes after years of dedication, countless hours of training, and pushing through injuries along the way. Anyone who has ever watched a young athlete chase a dream knows just how much hard work goes on behind the scenes.

To help Sophiya and her family with the costs of getting to Nationals, a donation box has been placed in store.

Holy mother of chicken.. 🤤🐔

So the other week I had a craving.

You know those dangerous cravings where your brain says, “This is either going to be amazing or a complete disaster”?

Well, I made it. Took one bite. And immediately went:

“Yep. This needs to be on the menu.”

The chickens have staged a mass exodus.

Our supplier is currently out of stock of the crispy chicken patties that you lot have become emotionally attached to. 💀🐔

We’ve searched.
We’ve cried.
We’ve checked the freezer seventeen times hoping one would magically appear.

Nothing.

So for now, you’re going to have to surrender to the alternatives:

🐄 The Cow
🐟 The Fish
🧀 The Halloumi

We understand this may be a difficult time for some families. Please check in on your loved ones and respect their privacy while they process this devastating news.

Didn’t get a chance to post today because it was a chaotic one!

Did so much driving around but the main event today was attending the fundraiser event for The Pink Belles - Qld Cancer Council Hope Ambassadors.

Raising money for such a good cause that is close to so many people’s hearts.

Almost everyone has come across cancer in some form through a friend, family member or themselves.

It was nice to step away from work for a very short period to be involved in this event.

🐟 A LITTLE COD UPDATE! 🐟

Before anyone accuses us of shrinking the fish to fund Ryan's coffee habit... hear us out. 😅

We've been experiencing further delays on our normal-sized COD fillets. Rather than having NO COD available at all, we've secured a supply of smaller COD fillets so we can keep serving fish while we wait for our regular stock to return.

The upside?

COD was $12 → NOW $10
Fish, Chips, Salad → $16 (no upgrade cost)

That's right. The fish got smaller... and so did the price.

Rest assured, this is only temporary. As soon as our normal-sized COD fillets become available again, we'll be returning to the larger portions you've come to expect.

Until then, we'd rather have cod on the menu at a lower price than have disappointed faces when we tell you we're completely out.

Thanks for your understanding and support as we navigate the wonderful world of seafood supply. ❤️

P.S. We asked the fish if they were okay with the price drop. They remained completely silent.

We wanted to take a moment to give a genuine shoutout to someone who has been a huge part of both our personal and business journey over the last 5 years... Becci Kerr from Loan Market ❤️
