SOME BIG NEWS
The short:
As you may be aware we have opened in the old commercial hotel, so Meltdown will move into the front room as a takeaway focused coffee shop, turn wine tapas bar at night.
The long:
Meltdown has been shaped by every person that has walked through the doors, on both sides of the bench, I really appreciate everyone for your support, assistance, opinions, conversations, chinwags, etc. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL THE SUPPORT
After 3 years of coffees, eggs, community and more we have decided to focus our attention on one building and commit fully to that space. it’s tough to manage two spaces, and we don’t feel as though we can deliver on our ethos of ensuring satisfaction from every experience without halving our lifespan in the process. Our mission has always been to add to the community, to honour quality and to introduce our customers to our takes on food, fun new exciting things, and comfort in nostalgia. Though the space is small, we managed to do some really fun things like Meltdown at night; the concept that propelled us towards finding a bigger space, so we can expand our offering beyond breakfast and coffee, but not lose the opportunity to continue to deliver our offering to the locals and travellers. It’s a tough choice to leave, but we believe our successors will do an excellent job in the space and we can’t wait to support them along their journey in our fantastic town!
