Dear Three Bowls Community, Thank you for helping us to raise nearly $300 to help refugees take up a new life in Australia! Your generosity is heartwarming!
This month we have started fundraising for Anjali House, an organisation helping street kids in Cambodia. Come in to Three Bowls Cafe and make a donation to Anjali House and you will go in the draw to win designer earrings crafted by local artist Nathalie Le Riche .
Street children and child street sellers are a common occurrence in Cambodia, with an estimated 24,000 children living and working on the streets throughout Cambodia. Trapped by the lack of education, extreme poverty and the high cost of healthcare, these children know nothing except hardship and risk falling into a life of prostitution and abuse.
Anjali House was established to help street kids break the cycle of poverty through education, health care and access to food and clean water. Anjali House protects these children helping them regain their childhood and giving hope for a future away from the streets.

MZAZA will be appearing at Three Bowls Cafe, Highgate Hill on the evening of Friday April 15. With a fascination for making something new from the old, Mzaza’s writers and musicians skilfully create their own set of traditions from a tapestry of richly woven influences from France, the Balkans, the Middle East and Sephardic Spain. Mzaza’s song Nightwatch has recently been nominated for Best Song in the Queensland Music Awards (World Category) 2016. The band’s accomplished multi-instrumentalists play violin, kamanche tarhu (a spikefiddle of Persian ancestry), guitar, double bass, accordion, darabuka (Turkish hand percussion), cajon, tapan and bendir (frame drum). Catch Mzaza at Three Bowls Cafe and help support them before they embark on an international tour. Two course dinner and show $40. To book contact Three Bowls Cafe on 0434 869283.
