Straight to the point...the price of seafood is expensive (one would say it's a life taken, so it should be, others say its just sooo expensive for no given reason). Truth is I balk every single time a charge a customer. Prices are determined in Australia by the fishes attributes, the value of quality, scarcity, seasonal adundance, wild caught or farmed, freight, market auctions etc.

So to help understand the breakdown from price per kilo to a 200g fillet of fish, I have tried to show a snapshot of a 200g piece which is approx what the health standard suggests per person/adult.
