I should have listened to my mum.
TIP JAR THEFT..
yes you read that right...
Packing up after an event at cafe late this afternoon, front door open, 2 staff inside cleaning while I popped outside to help my son put the gate back on (that fell off in the wind).
Came in to wipe down bench and noticed our tip jar on its side.
Asked Mum if she emptied it (as she doesn't Iike to leave money in there... yes.. ok... I need to be more like my mother) but she hadn't.
Phoned Trish and asked if she needed to take the notes out for the till
(Now I can't share what Trish actually said) but no she didn't..
So.. in a very brief few minutes someone has come in and grabbed the notes and some coin out of the tip jar..
Like really..
I will be reviewing the CCTV footage the owner has out front of building.
But here's my tip.. it can happen to you..
Don't be like me.. and listen to your mother...
And I'm really really p###xx...

What a day....
There are days when you can't wait for the clock to tick over 2.00 pm...
Today was that day.
Not because we don't love what we do.
Not because we don't love seeing you all..
Because some days are just that little but more demanding and you physically hurt...
We were down 2 regular staff today.
We had lots of catering.
We had lots and lots of customers ❤️
So to our 'Patchers' thank you for your support and for your patience today.
To my team who were thrown in every direction this morning.. you guys held on with two hands and I'm sure a grimace or 2.

My day started off great, then the self doubt, anxiety over business stuff, a disaster with our fish tank, my emotions a bit.. you know...lol. And then.. out of the blue I see a package sitting on my desk with my name on it.
Thank you Anne Marie for your kindness. The apron is perfect and I will be rocking it as much as possible. Your hug was just what I needed too.
