WHAT’S NEW?

Well… we’ve finally done it... No more monthly opening-hours posts.

No more checking the grid like you’re solving a Canberra cold case, No more, “Hang on… are they open this Friday?”. From now on, these are our every week opening hours.
Nice...Simple...Consistent...Very unlike us, really

If we’re off slinging barbeque at a festival, catering something enormous or doing something equally ridiculous, we’ll let you know right here, on our channel and across the page

Otherwise…

These are the hours,
They’re locked in,
They’re set in stone,

Walk-ins are always welcome, and pre-orders are always encouraged.

So wander in and take your chances… or pre-order and sleep peacefully knowing your brisket is locked in before everyone else gets to it.

JULY HAS ENTERED THE CHAT… AND WE’RE BACK IN ACTION

Canberra, we’re firing it al back up now, loading the trays, and bringing the very best Texas-inspired barbeque back to our home in Narrabundah all month long...

This July, we’re going non-stop at the shop front so make sure you hit is back hard!

Opening from midday until sold out on every date we’re trading here ..

That means brisket, pork, snags, sides, sauce and of course.. chaos… and probably someone saying, “I’ll just grab a small box,” before leaving with enough barbeque to feed the street

Pre-orders go live tomorrow from midday for the month of July & going forward, pre-order collection will run through the evening with a latest pick-up time of 7pm

Because let’s be honest … It’s winter ... It’s cold ... You need barbeque before 7pm ... This is basic survival ...

And this month, we’re bringing a bit of the old skool and the new skool back with Big Box flavours. The classics, the favourites, the fun stuff, and a few bits that are going to hit very hard!

So line it up, lock it in, and don’t be the person messaging after sell out asking if we’ve got “just a little brisket left"...We won't

June is most certainly another busy month for us... but we wouldn't have it any other way would we?

Some new sides, some tasty treats and also the additional VEGAN ... yes .. vegan menu item for those that might not be a fan of the our main ingredient but to don't get left behind in the ordering.

Don't forget, our hours are posted with the JUNE heading, and we also do have our 7th June Collab with Assembly, Braddon.

Now, let's address the elephant on the menu.

You'll notice we've made some price adjustments across most of our menu.

Trust me, this wasn't a decision made lightly. Between rising fuel costs, increases in beef and pork prices, and just about every supplier putting their hand up for more, the cost of bringing great BBQ to your plate has continued to climb.

Like many of you, I was hoping things would settle back down to what they used to be.

Unfortunately, it looks like this is the new normal, and as a small business, we have to move with it.

What won't change is our commitment to serving up the same generous portions, quality meats, and authentic BBQ experience you've come to expect from Big Box Barbeque, myself and the team we have.

We appreciate your understanding, your support, and every order you place. Without you, none of this is possible.

Now enough of the serious stuff—let's get back to silly Instagram Stories, Late Night Cooks and a long weekend.

Can you believe it’s June already?

After the month we just had in May… we’re backing it and doubling down 🔥

We’re keeping 90% of what’s been working because honestly… why mess with a good thing?

Towards the back end of the month we’ll be shutting the doors for the biggest private catering event we’ve taken on to date which is equal parts exciting and mildly terrifying

The drop-off catering is still open for everything though, so if you’ve got catering, events, functions, birthdays or just a reason to feed people properly… shoot us a DM and lock it in

Dining In Store .. Casual - Comfortable

Like being at home… except we’re standing there watching you eat the food of the gods .. our brisket

The menu’s getting a few tweaks too:

• Some new things
• Some better things
• Some things we’ve been wanting to do for a while

And yes… before anyone says it… there’s also a little update I’ve been avoiding for about 12 weeks now

I’m pretty sure most of you saw it coming eventually. I’ve been trying my hardest not to do it… but being a small business that’s growing means sometimes you’ve got to be honest with yourself too 👀

I appreciate you all, and thank you all for where we have been, currently are and where we are heading on the back end of 26'
