It’s a great place to catch up with friends while enjoying rotating craft beers, Canberra region wines, Australian gins and whiskys, and a fresh house-made seasonal menu.

Legends! It’s time again to see what amazing beers are pouring in downtown Evatt!

Hawkers kick things off with their Lager. This beer is simply a really good beer. Nothing more, nothing less and exactly where you want a lager to be… i.e. 4.2% ABV and 25 IBU.

Next we have Precinct’s cracking Pacific Ale! This beer has huge aromas and flavours of dank tropical fruits, especially passionfruit! I reckon it’s better than that rock and timber one that is generally the token craft beer in a sea of Japanese owned beers.

The legends at Hargreaves Hill are back with one of my personal favourite pale ales. This beer showcases distinct bright, citrusy and floral hop characters, and adds a thirst quenching bitterness. It ticks all of the pale ale boxes IMHO!

Our good friends at TRBC are back with their salute to the big American IPAs, Bad M**o! This beer is everything you’d expect with a big malty backbone, big hop flavours, and a well controlled bitterness. Tim ought to be proud that the torch is shining brightly in this brew!

If you know what to expect when you drink a Saison, then you’re be damn pleased with Sonnenschein from The Barrel Shepherd. This cracker was dry hopped with freshly picked whole cone Victoria hops and then aged for 18 months in 3 different barrels. It’s got a moderate tartness, light oak undertones that unfold to a citrus meets tropical fruit aroma!

Last up, we have Folk Stout from Bentspoke! While it was brewed for the National Folk Festival, this belter is seriously best enjoyed now! This is a spectacular light Irish Stour that’s rich, full-bodied and is packed with coffee and light chocolate flavours, and balanced out with just the right amount of hop bitterness!

Happy hours from 3-5 will get you 20% off all of these cracking beers as well as all wines by the glass!

Two jokers, two new podiums, for this week’s two pints! See you soon fellas.

Legends! Here’s the lineup for the week/day/next few hours…?

Sailors Grave kick us off with their cracking draught lager, Sou’ East. This brew keeps it simple; malt, hops, yeast & water. Low bitterness and no showy aromas or additives. Big on easy drinking sessionability with subtle Aussie hop flavours and a crisp finish making for a very crushable pint!

Next we have Precinct’s awesome Pacific Ale! Using some prominent hops from this corner of the pacific; Galaxy, Moutere and Riwaka in multiple dry hop and whirlpool additions. This beer has huge aromas and flavours of dank tropical fruit, especially passionfruit! I reckon it’s better than that rock and timber one that you’ll. see around the traps!

Sydney Brewery’s cracking Island Hazy Pale is killing it on tap three! This is one seriously easy drinker with luscious tropical notes and a light and fluffy mouthfeel that will have you coming back for another few. It’s really easy to do at 4.0% ABV too!

If you haven’t tried Double Phresh from Frenchies and Hopsters, you need to, is epic! It’s a pungent Imperial IPA packed with vibrant citrus and melon notes, alongside subtle undertones of stone fruit, grapefruit, pineapple and guava. It has a crazy light body that’ll almost have you thinking you’re drinking a pale… until you stand up.

We’re turning up the funk on tap five with Sonnenschein from The Barrel Shepherd. This is an 18 month barrel aged saison that’s dry hopped with freshly picked whole cone Victoria hops. Aged in 3 different barrels gives it light oak and a moderate tartness that unfolds to a citrus meets tropical fruit aroma! Think - light funk, malt forward, dry finish, fresh citrus!

Last up, Dusky Tides from Frogs Hollow will likely not see the end of the week. It’s a bit different from your average porter in that it boasts a deep berry tartness from the blackberries that balance the roasted, sweeter flavours of the porter, then its finished off with a smooth, dusting of vanilla.

Happy hours from 3-5 will get you 20% off all of these cracking beers as well as all wines by the glass!

Legends! We’re just about through the New England brews so whoever pops the Lord Malty keg gets themselves this cracking Ramm cap!

Bentspoke kick us off with their cracking pale lager, Shifters. Pouring clear with a bright golden hue, this refreshing brew brims with restrained aromas of light stone fruit and malty sweetness.

Next we have Island Hopper’s awesome pacific ale, Sea Breeze. This brew uses Australian grains with tropically vibed hops and a tasteful addition of Pandan to give it a subtle vanilla touch to bring home that South East asian flavour.

Sydney Brewery make their Herbert’s debut with the cracking Island Hazy Pale! This is one seriously easy drinker with luscious tropical notes and a light and fluffy mouthfeel that will have you coming back for another few.

As you probably know, whenever Frenchies and Hopsters get together, I’m all over it like a fat kid on a cupcake! Double Phresh is epic and for good reason! It’s a pungent Imperial IPA packed with vibrant citrus and melon notes, alongside subtle undertones of stone fruit, grapefruit, pineapple and guava. For such a big beer, it has a crazy light body that’ll almost have you thinking you’re drinking a pale… until you stand up.

Lord Malty Imperial ESB is the last of the New England brews which surprises me, I thought it would have gone a lot earlier! It has a spectacular malt profile that delivers deep caramel flavours, a rich toffee body, and the traditional UK hops give it notes of honey, nuts, and marmalade!

Last up it’s the awesome Dusky Tides from Frogs Hollow. A bit different from your average porter in that it boasts a deep berry tartness from the blackberries that balance the roasted, sweeter flavors of the porter, then its finished off with a smooth, dusting of vanilla.

Happy hours from 3-5 will get you 20% off all of these cracking beers as well as all wines by the glass!

Don’t forget that if you pop the Lord Malty keg, you grab yourself a cracking Ramm cap!

If you missed the New England Brewing takeover on the weekend, no stress because we’ve still got these cracking brews pouring and also have a couple of caps to give away. Which I’ll tell you a bit more about shortly… but first, the beers!

Ramm XDRY has aromas of cracked grain, fragrant rice and hints of lime. As you’d expect, it’s as dry as a dead dingo’s donga, with very low bitterness making it super quaffable.

The Pale Ale is a classic Aussie style pale and is the recipient of multiple gold medals, when you try it you’ll know why. It’s a cracking, light bodied brew with a very well balanced hit of citrus.

Now come the heavy hitters!

IPA01 has only just been released with Herbert’s being the first venue outside of the brewery to pour it! It is a spectacular example of a hazy IPA! It’s got heaps of passionfruit on the nose with bursts of tropical fruit to follow, all in a well-rounded and pillowy mouthfeel!

Heavy Duty 7.2 ticks all of the boxes when it comes to a big West Coast IPA! It’s loaded with grapefruit, pine and orange in a dry body. On top of that the addition of NZ Cascade Hop Oil gives it an intense hit of fruit aroma!

Lord Malty Imperial ESB has a spectacular malt profile that delivers deep caramel flavours, a rich toffee body, and the traditional UK hops give it notes of honey, nuts, and marmalade!

To round up we have Grandad Brown. What a cracking example of an English Brown Ale! It’s got heaps of caramel, coffee, chocolate and nuts and a touch of sweetness. It’s low in bitterness making it a cracker of a beer for this weather!

Happy hours 3-5 every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday will get you 20% off all of these cracking beers as well as all wines by the glass!

If you made it this far, you deserve to know that if you pop either the first or last kegs you’ll grab yourself a cracking Ramm cap!
