Okโฆ Iโve got something to admit ๐ฅธ
I officially converted my kitchen to gluten free baking only back at the start of this year.
And yes โ I did it a little on the sly.
I wanted to quietly test the waters and see if any of my regulars even noticed a difference. At the same time, Iโll be honestโฆ thereโs still a stigma around gluten free baking, and I wasnโt sure if saying it out loud might turn people away.
But hereโs the truth.
Iโm coeliac myself, and baking with gluten was genuinely starting to affect my health and my gut. It got to a point where I had to make a choice โ and my wellbeing (and the quality of what I create) had to come first.
What Iโve learned since making the switch is this: gluten free doesnโt mean compromise. Not in flavour, not in texture, and definitely not in celebration cakes.
So while I was quietly baking away behind the scenes, nothing else changed โ just the ingredients. The cakes, the cupcakes, the designsโฆ all still made with the same care, buttercream, and attention to detail youโve always known from me.
And if anything, theyโre even better now.
Thanks for being here, and for supporting this little (now fully gluten free) cake kitchen of mine ๐ฉท
