The Nash has been sold! 🍻
Firstly, a huge congratulations to Jaq and Christian. We wish you both every success on your new adventure and can’t wait to see what the future holds for the National Hotel.
Our time at the Nash has been one of the most rewarding, challenging and unforgettable chapters of our lives.
Just six months into our journey as first-time pub owners, our world changed forever with the unimaginable loss of our beautiful daughter, Hannah. Trying to run a business while navigating the darkest time of our lives was something we never could have prepared for.
Looking back, we’re incredibly proud that we kept showing up, kept the doors open, and continued doing our best for our staff, our locals and our community.
To everyone who stood by us, supported us, shared a meal, bought a drink, offered a hug or simply checked in—thank you. Your kindness has meant more than you’ll ever know, and many of you have become lifelong friends.
Not everyone will agree with how we handled things, and that’s okay. Managing a business doesn’t come with a rule book. We did what we believed was right, and we walk away with our heads held high, proud of what we achieved and what we gave back to this wonderful community.
The memories we’ve made and the friendships we’ve built will stay with us forever. Thank you for welcoming us into your lives and making the Nash feel like home.
We’re not disappearing just yet! We’ll still be at the Nash for the next couple of months before officially heading up the road to continue managing the Court House Hotel in Talbot. Thankfully, we don’t have to say goodbye to pub life just yet!
And don’t worry… there’ll be farewell drinks before we go. 🍻 Keep an eye out for the date—we’d love to celebrate one last time with you all.
With heartfelt thanks,
Glenn & Deb McGuire ❤️
