It’s not how you survive the storm, it’s how you dance in the rain. And ladies… you danced. 💃🏼
What started as one of the most joy-filled, electric afternoons… turned into full-blown chaos in a matter of minutes.
Torrential rain. Wild wind. Lightning cracking across the sky.
The kind of moment every event host dreads.
And yet… you stayed. You laughed. You helped each other. You ate dinner out of Tupperware like it was part of the plan.
While I was running around completely drenched trying to hold it all together, you were out there turning a storm into something unforgettable.
And I need to give credit where credit is so deeply due…
To Janet and Nicole, our incredible on-the-ground hosts. The women who made this happen locally so we could come in and do what we do best. You held so much behind the scenes, and even in the chaos, you showed up with calm, strength and heart.
To who didn’t miss a beat. Keeping everyone hydrated, and then packing it all down in the pouring rain. Absolute legends.
And to every single one of you who came…Who travelled, who dressed up, who brought the energy, and who chose positivity even when the sky fell in.
Because from 4pm to 8:30pm… it was pure magic. And the ending? It wasn’t ruined, it was rewritten.
Into a story. A memory.A moment that perfectly captured what community actually looks like.
I am so, so grateful. For your patience, your laughter, your resilience… and the way you leaned in instead of walking away.
I’m sorry for how it ended. Truly. But I will never forget how you all showed up in it.
You didn’t just survive the storm…You absolutely bloody danced in it.
BIG LOVE,
Sig 😘
