Hi folks. Just a quick update on the project. We’ve been a little quiet on the fundraising and event front but that doesn’t mean we haven’t been working hard behind the scenes. We’ve just sent off one grant application and are in the process of sending off a second. Wish us luck! 🤞🏻

Holy moly! That was a ripper of a night! Thank you to everyone who came along and participated in Video Trivia. The night was hotly contesting between 9 teams with some tricky questions and challenges thrown in. We hope you had as much fun as we did. The current estimate for funds raised from the night are around $1500! Thank you all for your support but special thanks to Malting Lagoon Brewery & Guest House for putting it all together. Thank you also to Géographe Restaurant + Espresso Bar, Iluka Tavern - Coles Bay, ScaleFish Takeaway, Granite Freycinet, Pennicott Wilderness Journeys and White Sands Estate & IronHouse Brewery, Vineyard & Distillery for donating prizes. The sense of community in this small town is amazing and we are truly grateful to be a part of it.

The Coles Bay Community Hall is all set up ready for Video Trivia tonight fundraising for the Coles Bay Community Gym Project! Doors open from 6pm. Trivia from 7pm. Malting Lagoon serving the booze (and softies for the drivers). It’s going to be awesome!

Are you looking for something to do in Coles Bay on Saturday night? Get a group of 6 together and join us for Video Trivia! We’ve still got a couple of tables left available and would love to fill them.

If you’ve booked a table and have not prepaid please bring along cash on the night.

We’ll also be having a raffle with two cracker prizes:
= cruise for two with Pennicott Wilderness Journeys
= a bottle of Tasman Whisky from Iron House Distillery
Make sure you bring cash along to buy tickets!

We’ll be supplying some half time snacks but please feel free to bring along your own treats if you so desire. Drinks will be available for purchase - EFTPOS will be available at the bar.

We’ve been invited to do an interview about the Coles Bay Community Gym Project on ABC Radio Hobart ‘Saturdays with Joel Rheinberger’ tomorrow morning. If you’re up and about by 0710 tune in to hear Jo speak about how the idea from the project came about and what we’re hoping to achieve. Exciting news for the upcoming trivia night on May 8th folks. We’ll be holding a raffle and Pennicott Wilderness Journeys have very generously donated a voucher which allows 2 Adults to travel on an award-winning 3 Hour Wilderness Cruise with either Bruny Island Cruises or Tasman Island Cruises, or in the Vista Lounge with Wineglass Bay Cruises. When not brewing their delicious beers our friends at Malting Lagoon have been working hard to put together Video Trivia!!! Hi Folks. We've been a little quiet on the socials but we're still working hard behind the scenes to see this project come to fruition. We've been working hard writing applications and applying for grants. Unfortunately we haven't had any success as yet - but that won't stop us from continuing to try! Just like maintaining fitness it's a long, steady process. Hopefully we'll see you soon for another fundraising activity - watch this space!

Hi folks. Just a reminder:

The Community Gym Committee have been working hard behind the scenes working on grant applications to hopefully generate funds to make this project become a reality.
To support applications for grants we would like to obtain an estimate on the intended rates of participation and memberships from persons within the Coles Bay community and surrounds. We've placed a few "Expression of Interest" forms around the town. If you are interested in utilising this facility when it is developed and opened please get your name onto one of the forms. You can find them located:

Coles Bay Convenience
