But to win a meat tray you have to actually play very well. And with some more rain the run is finally bringing in some senible scores.
A mention to Frank Clifton for hitting Kerry Vallette. How was this done.
1.Tee off from the mens 9th tee
2.Hit a White tee marker on the mens 9th tee
3.Ball goes backwards into playing parnters....with the ball choosing Kerry to hit - and hard.
4.Have a laugh and Continue on.....
5.Kerry was OK .... though a bruise might of appeared.

Anyway back to the results. Brad Weatherall continues to take his handicap down. He is now the lowest in the club by alot.
Brad won the Mens MM with a nett 74 on a 3 way count back. So stan came in 2nd and Ashley 3rd. Congratulations Brad on winning the Count Back!! HA

In the Womens MM Sandra had a 73 and Kat beat Jan on a count back with 74 for 2nd.

How Qualification Works

Format: 2-Person Ambrose
Round: 9 holes
When: April – October
Where: Coona Golf Club 14th and in July
Who: Open to all golfers with a Golf Australia handicap
The leading 12 scores statewide in each category—Men, Women and Mixed—will qualify for the Final.
Cost: our event will be $15.00 and we will do balls and NTPs.

Golf Reports
The men and womens par championships were played on the 23rd May.
The women’s event was won by Sandra and Kat. And mens event Jason and Kep.
Thanks to our sponsors for the great prizes, which will be picked up on Preso Night.
We then had some much needed rain and the course finally turned green💚.
The 30th May was a stableford, With the rain we thought scores would come in a bit lower. But Ashley Fretwell came in with 40 pionts to beat Zoe on 39.
Frank Clifton found a tree again, thats 2 now over last month.
Congratulations to the group who went to Dunedoo for thier mixed open, it was a great day and we all picked up some prizes.
Jan, Kerrie and Zoe represented Coona at the annual 3 day tournament this week at Narrabri, Jan picked up a prize on Day 2. 😊.
This weekend is June Monthly Medal. See you there!!!

This was the annual Harry and Jean Baylis Trophy, which will be given out on preso night.

It was a great day for the Carmel Munns who had a great score of 40pts, she beat Elaine who also had 40 pts on a count back.

We should also mention Brad Weatherall who playing off 7 had 39 points.

So the ball winners were Elaine, Brad, Julie and Jan. you can see the course now has a lot of run and scores are pretty HOT.

In the match plays Paul White beat Frank Clifton 3up/ 2 to go.

Nathan Nagy pulled a game together and came away with the win on a count back from Kat with 40 points. Well done Nathan.

Ball winners on this day were Kat, Gail, Julie and Paul. Thanks to our visitors from The Coast Golf and Rec Club for coming out for the day.

In the match plays Kat gave Butter a hiding. Kat won on the 13th hole…well done Kat you had a great day with 40 points to beat him!!

So tomorrow is our Annual Par Championships for men and women, so grab your partners. Neal has some lovely GOLD he has found for the winning men.
