Yesterday, we had a family in for lunch who were celebrating a 95th birthday!

Andy made an amazing cake for them, this is a Profiterole Tower Cake.

Made with profiteroles of two different fillings, one an orange & Cointreau patissere, the other a chocolate mousse. Over the top of the profiteroles was a Mozart chocolate drip, a Jaffa orange drip, some fresh honeycomb, and candied orange.

The cake was very well received, and it seems like everyone had a fantastic lunch!

A new menu means a new pair of styles for our Lamb Two Ways!

This time we have one style is 17-hour green chilli & coconut braised lamb shoulder and the second is pulled & pressed BBQ coffee oyster steak cut (crumbed & fried).

Together they're served with Jerusalem artichoke puree, sauteed broccolini tips & peas, roti bread, with the option of having Andy’s BBQ blister sauce on side.

Today is International Donut Day! To celebrate, we have two of our new dishes to show you, one savory and one sweet.

Our savory donuts are the Smoked Jalapeno & Neuchatel Donuts, served with avocado puree, saffron lemon aioli, topped off with flowers & tendrils

And the sweet donuts are the Tiramisu Donuts, filled with Malibu mascarpone, then rolled in dehydrated coffee sugar served with espresso & Kahlua ice cream, Mr. Black coffee liqueur reduction, vanilla anglaise, and aerated cream.

Winter is here, and with it comes a new menu at Casalinga!

With new items in every section of the menu, if you've been thinking about coming in to eat with us, whether its your first time or your hundredth time, there will be something new for you to eat!

The first of our new items we're showing off is the Vanilla Coconut & Macadamia Milk Panna Cotta, served with yuzu & pineapple liqueur sorbet, toasted coconut meringue rubble, mango puree, kaffir lime & lemongrass gel, and a Malibu reduction.

Keep an eye out over the next few weeks to see more of our new menu dishes!

We have another beautiful cake that came out of our kitchen last night, for a family celebrating a 70th birthday! Combining orange and chocolate for an incredible Jaffa-like flavour!

This is an Orange scented sponge cake, layered with orange Toblerone chocolate mousse, and a bitters & Cointreau patissere, topped off with an orange chocolate mirror glaze.
