While we are known for Croc Burgers, we have a great range of smoothies from our farm. Right now we have Black Sapote, Yellow Sapote, Abiu, Jackfruit, and Soursop. And for the less adventurous Banana and Mango. Step out of you comfort zone and try something new and amazing.

Apologies for the bad video, but you can hear the distinct call of the Wompoo Pigeon. Great hear them 'buck a babooing' so close to the cafe!

This year, we will be making a change to CLOSED on public holidays. I am not sure exactly when, but soon. This is not a decision taken lightly.
I would like everyone to consider this - wages are over $60 per hour on a public holiday, and then we have to add 12% super on top, and allocate a portion of our Workcover insurance. This makes the average across various levels about $74/hr. If we have four staff in, thats near enough to $300 per hour to open, and of course staff come in earlier than opening time, so a short days trade can cost $2400.
It is just not worth doing, and when you consider that Easter is now FOUR public holidays one after the other, it starts looking really bad. And customers hate surcharges.
It is not a 'Happy Easter' if you own a hospitality business.
The other option is that I do all the public holidays myself, and never have time with my family.
I am sure we all like to think of staff getting paid well for PH work. But for us it has now reached the point where it is unviable. We are not the only business making this change.
I am sorry....

We finally have a date for the Daintree Ferry Reopen - Thursday 2nd April.
However our Cafe won't open until probably mid-April. With only a couple of staff left, we will conduct a staged re-opening, catering to pre booked groups only until staff are trained enough to handle the public.
We have secured new staff and they will arrive as soon as they can cross the ferry.
Our Store and Bottleshop will be open and of course the swimming hole too. It would be great to see visitors support the Store rather than buying off multi nationals!
