our most popular dish is our signature dolsot (hot stone bowl) bibim-bap (mixed rice).

what you get is a super hot stone bowl with a layer of mixed grain rice topped with 6 freshly prepared vegetables and your choice of marinated beef, chicken or pork. you also get a side of kochujang (chilli paste) but dont worry, it's mild on the heat and packed full of flavour - we suggest you add the whole amount. mixed at the table, the dish sizzles as the stone bowl brings all the flavours tog

ether whilst imparting a crispy texture to the rice. wash this all down with a bowl of doenjang-guk (fermented soybean soup) and dine like the Korean kings of old. a great experience that not only tastes awesome, is really healthy for you too!

Wow.
What an incredible couple of weeks it has been.
The outpouring of disappointment followed by genuine well wishes has been overwhelming. I am truly sad to say goodbye to so many special customers.

Dear Darlinghurst,
It is with mixed emotions that we inform you that 'bibim, to mix.' will be closing it's doors for the last time on the 3rd of june - exactly 5 years since opening in 2011.
What a ride it has been. Blood, sweat and tears rewarded with so many loyal customers that will be missed. I hope we achieved what we set out to do : to bring authentic tasting Korean food to Darlinghurst.
Onwards to the next stage of our lives, and we thank you all so much from the bottom of our hearts for all the support and encouragement we have received over the years.

Happy Australia Day!
We are closed today as we celebrate what it means to us to be Australian.
Lunch with friends where 'bring a plate' means food as diverse as Mediterranean antipasto, salami and soft cheeses. Butter chicken and naan. Buffalo wings, weiners, marsala, koftas with loads of garlic sauce and of course, kimchi. All washed down with copious amounts of pale ale and barossa shiraz.
Where else but Australia, mate?

4 years ago today, we opened our doors for the first time. So wide-eyed and naive, it's been one helluva journey.
