Amenah's Satay House Having a small party or a group function? We offer a range of Cocos Malay Cuisine, from finger foods This small family business started in September 2015.

We started off very small, selling at the Railway Markets in Geraldton (still current). In a matter of exactly a year, we have upgraded to having our own Catering Business and a Food Van. (Due to high demand of our cuisine). In 2023 we opened up our very first location on Flores Road. We have attended many local and surrounding areas of events such as;

We also have donated to Local Charities like Holland St School, Variety Club and have also made Donations to Telethon 2015 and hoping to continue this for many years to come. We offer a wide range of Malay/Cocos food such as; curry puffs, spring rolls, samosas, satay sticks, murtabaks (pratha dough filled with vegetable & egg), nasi & mee goreng, curries, hot & spicy food and various of other dishes. Rendang, Rendang & more Rendang!!

What is Rendang?

It’s a type of Curry that is rich and tender and normally on the dry side. The dish itself is originated from Indonesia, Sumatra to be specific.
Rendang is so decadent within itself as it is slow cooked in Coconut Milk and Aromatic Spices.

This particular dish is quiet popular across the Region of Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and Brunei.
Typically Indonesian Rendang are more savoury, darker, drier and more caramelized.

Whilst Malaysians Rendangs are more saucier, creamier, slightly sweeter and thicker in consistency.

What intrigues us from generations to generations and culture IS that we use the same and/or similar ingrediants BUT cooking methods differ which also equals to different tastes, flavours and textures.

We will never stop learning and expanding our knowledge about food.

We have made a last minute decision to not open this week as there is no staff available. Coincidental that I’ve had to take time off to be present for my Child who has appointments in Perth.

As I sit here quietly after cleaning and sanitising the whole shop and an eventful day, can I get a woooossaah? 🥱🥱

Yes I know, I’ve been posting on a daily lately but it’s a form of communication with and to our awesome supporters and customers. Our past and future customers and the reality of what it’s actually like running a small family business.

Reflecting on what today was like, We could have done better, needless to say we did what we could at our best with 3 staff down.

Our late apology to the customers who we’ve had to turn down orders as the Kitchen was closed early and to those who did try to reach us VIA phone and social media to place your orders.
Internet/Data connection hasn’t been the same since the Telstra Issue that had come upon a few days earlier. We’ve had to use our personal phones to post on our socials.

Next week is a brand new week, I will also be absent which means we shall leave you all in the good hands of Sir Latif. We promise, he does the best Nasi Goreng and Mee Goreng!! Patience is all we ask and I am sure he will meet your needs as best he can. Have a fabulous weekend everyone and stay blessed, stay safe.

The Bain is full this Thursday morning.

Our Sayur Lemak (Creamy Coconut Vege) has been a hit in this cold weather. Pairs nicely with our Coconut Rice which is suitable for the vegetarians.

Beef Curry is also on the menu followed by Chicken Rendang, Honey Chicken, Nasi Lemak To-Go, Nasi Goreng and Mee Goreng also To-Go.

Pastry Bain is looking pretty amazing too.
