Every journey has an end and for , on Oaka Lane this is the end of that journey.

I am so proud that this ended without being final (no nail in the coffin) and for this being 100% the right decision for me and my family at this time.

Coffee on Oaka was not sold even though this would of been the easiest option, it was not closed down because of poor trade or lack of support. We honoured our word every step of the way.

Coffee on Oaka had the most amazing community support and was well loved and we will always be immensely grateful for this support. We were given a chance on despite not having owned a business before and for this I will always be thankful. When I first enquired about this location my reply was "what is your business experience?" ...ummm...none. 🙈

When all aspects of a business no longer align it makes no sense to force those things. It is now time for me to reflect on the amazing people that have touched my life in the last two year and reflect on what we built and actually sit back for a few days before we embark on PERK (which is actually well behind opening schedule). It is now time for me to find what is is Oaka needs in order to grow like it deserves 🌱 I am excited to see what 2026 has planned for Oaka.

I have learnt so much as business owner and as member of the community and my heart yearns for a space where I can give back to the community. Until we find the location that aligns with our growth and new business model we will be back to takeaway coffee and snacks solely at Perk which we are more than ecstatic about! The Perk vibe is totally insane and cool/ casual!

I need to give Tiffany the most biggest thank you. She has been our biggest asset and she has helped with all the days of moving and heavy lifting just because she wanted to. She is a super-star and she will be the face of Perk...plus she remembers all your coffee orders (haha).

KITCHEN IS CLOSED. FOREVER. What a day!

Thanks so much Gladstone for selling us out of bread, tomatoes, bacon and many other things today!

Going out with a bang and super super grateful and so very blessed.

What an extraordinary two years. Many laughs. Many tears. Lots of sweat, some blood. Many late nights and three hour sleeps to get prep and baking done and it has been oh so worth every minute. So many friendships made and so many crazy antics to cherish in the memory bank.

Again another big thank you to every staff member to ever join our small work family, we are lucky to of had you all in our team for any period big or small. Without you we would not of been viable.

Enough mush. Watch this space.....we will be back 😉

Until we are back we will still see you for all your early morning coffees and catering needs around the corner at PERK! 16 Goondoon St, DRIP Recovery building.

Not all of our posts are about coffee. This is a celebratory post for finishing our last Friday as YAY!!! Two more days to go!!

We cannot thank our amazing customers enough for the tremendous support we have received and for the amazing friendships we have made along the way. These conversations will surely be missed!

We have appreciated each and every customer and each and every staff member who contributed to our daily lives. Our staff have been paramount to our success.

We are looking forward to opening Perk and seeing some familiar faces up the road while our final chapter finds its ending and its new beginning 🤣
