Cupcake season? Apparently it’s always cupcake season around here 🧁

Lately my kitchen has seen a bit of everything! Corporate businesses relaunching and promoting, the trending ‘dot cake’ baby showers, highland cows with the best hair in Golden Bay, and rainbow birthdays that made my piping bags very happy 🌈

That’s the thing about cupcakes, they’re the mess free (generally 😅) and fun option when you’re serving big crowds or simply want to say thank you.

One little cake, zero cutting required, maximum smiles 🫶

Be sure to always keep a look out on my stories because there is generally always spares (unless my husband and kids get in first) 🤭😝 x

Okay so let me tell you about my first proper oh s**t moment as a baker 😅 My girl messages me the night before her cake is due asking what time to collect TOMORROW, and I’m sitting there thinking it’s not until next weekend…..

My heart dropped. She’s like “it’s fine, I’ll just grab one from the cheesecake shop” and something in me just said absolutely not! Not on my watch. Not for my girl and her little man!💛

So I pulled it together, showed up for her, and honestly? I think the universe had a little plan because this cake came out better than anything I could have planned with a full week 🍩🍪

That’s the thing about baking from the heart — it always finds a way 🤍 appreciate her for not giving up on me 🫶
