🫖 Australia's Biggest Morning Tea!
Thanks to everyone who showed up for our Morning Tea last Friday.
We hope you all enjoyed yourselves as much as we did, because we are still in awe of the support you all gave us 🥹
Our very first Morning Tea for Cancer Council, and we were able to raise $3,733!
Thank you to Kylie Gates from Social Mums Club Forest Lake, Pallara & Surrounds, for being such a fabulous MC 🎙your warmth and energy had the room feeling at ease 🩷
Thank you to Gail Rogers, CEO from Ipswich Hospice Care - Queensland 🦋and Jenny Jenner from Kalbar Sunflowers 🌻 for speaking on our Panel. To hear about your passions for cancer care and the support you are each able to offer is certainly heartwarming. Our local communities should be so grateful to have 2 incredible people looking after us in our times in need.
A special thank you to Gwen, a local and retired Social Worker who now volunteers her time at Ipswich Hospice as a Counsellor. Gwen shared details on how important self-care is during treatments, to keep regular routines, and not to be afraid to ask for help ❤️🩹
Our guests also had the pleasure of hearing from Amy Wallace a Regional Development Specialist at Cancer Council Queensland 🌼 Amy shared with us how important fundraising events are, and where those funds are invested. The statistics around Cancer are scary, and it is so important to raise awareness ☀
Shout out to our suppliers and vendors for their efforts in curating the day! Simon George & Sons for the delicious fruit cart display 🍋 Jane's Handcrafts and Gifts for the gorgeous Lucky Door & Raffle Prize hampers 🎁 All Star Vinyl and Event Hire for the gorgeous display that doubled as a photobooth 💐 Heavenly High Tea Hire Brisbane for your boutique high tea crockery, cutlery and service pieces 🍵 it truly takes a tribe to make these events come to life!
And most of all, thank you to the Team here at Club Parkview! The crew really pulled it together with attention to detail during set up, to friendly smiles and hot coffee throughout the day! 😊
