🥫 FOODBANK HAMPERS – IMPORTANT INFORMATION 🥫

To receive a Foodbank Hamper through Goodna Street Life

You must first visit us in person at The Haven to register.
📍 9 Layard Street, Goodna
🕒 Hamper Collection Every Thursday from 3:00pm

Our hampers are available in limited numbers each week.
By meeting with you and registering your details, we can:
✅ Accurately plan weekly hamper allocations
✅ Ensure hampers are distributed fairly across our community
✅ Reduce waste and duplication
✅ Better understand community needs and demand
✅ Help make sure everyone has an equal opportunity to access support

How to Register
1️⃣ Visit The Haven at 9 Layard Street, Goodna
2️⃣ Introduce yourself and speak with Helen or a member of our team
3️⃣ Have your name added to the Hamper Register
4️⃣ Return on Thursday at 3:00pm to collect your hamper
❤️ Once you are on the register, you do not need to apply again unless advised otherwise.

🐾 DOGS WELCOME AT THE HAVEN 🐾

At The Haven, we know that dogs are family too ❤️

We are proud to be a dog-friendly space and welcome well-behaved furry companions to visit with their humans.

🐶 A few simple reminders:
• Please be mindful of how your dog reacts around other animals and people.
• Your dog remains your responsibility at all times.
• Please keep dogs under control and on a lead where appropriate.
• Clean up after your pooch so we can keep our space safe, clean, and welcoming for everyone.

It was fantastic to see the amount of work, planning, and community spirit that goes into ensuring people have access to food and support when they need it most.

A special thank you also goes to Ashleigh Sidney for creating and making our new menu board sparkle. It looks fantastic and will make it easier for visitors to see what's available each week. 🎨👏

One of the biggest strengths of the community sector is collaboration.
No single charity, organisation, business, school, workplace or service provider can meet every need on their own, but together we can create stronger pathways of support for people doing it tough.

That's exactly why Goodna Street Life established the GSL Collaborations & Partnerships Group!
The group was created to bring charities, community organisations, businesses, schools, employment providers and support services together in one place to connect, share information and stay informed about the latest community initiatives. Or post amy queries you may have!
We encourage those already connected to us to join, and those interested to enquire!

By working together, it becomes much easier to:
✅ Direct people to the right support services
✅ Share important community updates and opportunities
✅ Connect and outsource organisations with resources and partnerships
✅ Identify gaps in support and work on solutions together
✅ Find ways to assist GSL in helping more people across our community

When services communicate and support one another, the people who need help benefit the most. Community isn't built by competition, it's built by cooperation, respect and a shared commitment to helping others.
