Hello Expresso is looking for a family member ☕🌻
We’re looking for an exceptional barista who has, or is willing to gain, experience in simple food prep (fresh sandwiches & bacon and egg rolls).
Café Hours
6:30am – 12pm
(Rostered shifts are usually between 5:30am – 1pm)
During summer, we open from 6am.
You will start on approximately 15 hours per week across 2–3 shifts.
Hours will increase over time. Availability for 1 day every second weekend is required.
You will also help cover shifts when staff are away on holidays, so extra hours will become available during these periods.
We also operate a mobile coffee unit, which can offer additional hours when we have local events booked.
This role has the opportunity to eventually progress into a solo open & close role for Hello Expresso.
You Must Have:

🌻 A great memory for remembering our locals’ names and orders
🌻 Minimum 2 years barista experience using specialty coffee
Responsibilities:
🌺 Craft quality coffee with consistency, speed, and care
🌺 Deliver friendly, confident, efficient, and genuine customer service
🌺 Engage positively with customers and locals
🌺 Food prep including fresh sandwiches and bacon & egg rolls
🌺 Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
🌺 Support the team with general café duties including cup stickering, cleaning, POS operations, and other small tasks
🌺 Maintain a clean, organised, and professional workspace
Requirements:
🌼 Thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while also staying motivated during quieter shifts
🌼 Ability to think on your feet, stay calm, and work efficiently under pressure
🌼 Be a team player with a positive attitude and great communication skills
🌼 Ability to communicate stock shortages to the appropriate team member
🌼 Enjoy early mornings and the beautiful views of Lake Cootharaba
🌼 Availability for at least 1 day every second weekend
