Congratulations to Rachael on taking home Venue Manager of the Year at the AHA Awards.

With over 20 years in the hospitality industry, Rachael started her journey at just 17 years old and worked her way to Hotel Manager by the age of 21 — a reflection of her passion, dedication and leadership within the industry.

Winning this incredible accolade in front of 1,300 people is a true testament to the hard work, care and commitment she brings to our venue, team and customers every single day.

MEET THE TEAM

Meet Michael (Mick)! 👋

Mick has been part of the Barklys team for 4 years and is now one of our senior staff members across all areas of the pub.

Outside of work, he loves travelling, scuba diving and extremely long walks down the coast.

Last year, Mick walked solo from Sydney to Sorrento, raising over $18,000 for the Black Dog Institute supporting men’s mental health — an incredible effort and something we’re very proud of.

His go-to order? A schooner of Draught and the Seafood Linguine.

So next time you’re in, make sure to say hello 👋🏼

(And apparently we’re not meant to mention that he barracks for Essendon 🫣)
