San Churro Choclateria - Orion Speingfield.
A great dessert/coffee place amongst the new offerings at Orion Springfield. Great if you have a sweet tooth or are just after a coffee. Can get very busy but well worth it if you have a sweet tooth.

Great Wall of Yum Cha - Riverlink Ipswich.
We were waiting anxiously for this place to open and when we finally found out it was open, we raced there.
It's a combination sushi and yum Cha train. A large restaurant with plenty of seating and a very long sushi/Yum Cha train.
Service by all the people was great. Very nice and friendly and very attentive.
The food was a huge let down. Very limited Yum Cha options. Standard sushi options, however we were advised there was no vegetarian options (apart from spring rolls) and vegetarian options had to be ordered seperately. A bit disappointing considering most sushi places have a couple vegetarian options. They did not even have any avocado rolls, usually a standard.
While the Yum Cha food was steaming hot (it was sitting on steamers on the train), the sushi was cold, even the hot dishes (i.e. Spring rolls). This may be due to the fact the train is very long and there was a lot of food going around so perhaps it was not replaced often enough to keep warm. Food was average and very bland.
Would most likely never go back. Very sad considering we were excited and waiting eagerly for it to open.

Oriental kitchen at Redbank Plains near Woolies. $35 is very dear for 2 people for takeaway, I think ... Went there last night. It was ok, but just ok. 🌟🌟/5

Feast at Redbank Plains has a voucher on their website - $5 for the second person if you buy 1. We went on Friday and it was only $34 for 2 of us. Only until the end of August. A great meal there!

$28 Buffet @ Hotel Richlands

Lots of families, and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves and having a good dinner. Adults are $28 fri-sun and $26 other nights. The carvery section could have been better: the pork, for example, was a bit dry/unfresh. There was good variety. The dessert bar was very good. The tables/dining area was a lot cleaner than you often see at Sizzler. The salad section was nothing compared to Sizzler. Overall, 8/10. I'd go back.

🌟🌟 Pancake Manor, Booval. Service very average (just not overly friendly). Meals were ok, maybe average. I don't like it when you can't buy a meal without cheese 'because it's already mixed in'. Mince in the Mexican didn't taste so fresh. We got a lemonade when we asked for a lemon squash. We'll probably go back because we like the desserts. 2/5 🌟🌟

McDonald's Goodna for a coffee and breakfast with a friend today. Had to move tables because some looney with a Bible kept talking out aloud to himself, raving. The toilets were smelly. But the company was good! :-)

Mother's Day at Brookwater Golf Club. Very disappointing. $35 for a buffet, a normal price for Mother's Day. Bacon was cold. When we first went up there were no eggs. Had to wait 3 mins for spare plates to be brought out so I could get food. The tomatoes were swimming in juice/water/something and looked a bit gross. You can't sit near the window to look out over the golf course because of the sun coming through. Quite a nice atmosphere, though. Would be nice at night, I imagine. Very nice looking surrounds and gardens.🌟 1/5 stars
