Well… Sunday definitely kept us busy! ☕️🚴

The café was already humming along when our pre-booked group of 30 cyclists from Melbourne arrived for breakfast at 9am.

Throw in campers, BVRT riders, locals, travellers, coffee lovers, dogs by the fire pit and a LOT of cakes in a can, and it turned into one of those awesome Linville Sundays we love.

Thanks to everyone who spent part of their day with us. We truly appreciate the support.

Our neighbours are better than yours 🍻👏🍾

Huge congratulations to the Linville Hotel on being named Best Hotel Bar – Regional Division at the Queensland Hotel Association Awards.

Such a well deserved achievement for a team that works incredibly hard and is such an iconic part of the Linville experience.

Might be time to retire the “Where the bloody hell is Linville?” tagline… because everybody knows now 😜❤️

We’re proud to now be stocking products from Esk Beef — a family-owned Somerset producer bringing true paddock-to-plate beef to our region.

For nearly 90 years, the Drynan family has been raising cattle in the Brisbane Valley, focusing on naturally raised, hormone-free beef and sustainable farming practices that care for both the land and the animals. 🧡 A beautiful event for our Somerset community 🧡

Somerset Regional Council are launching their Dementia Friendly initiative along with a very special children’s book following a nanna living with dementia as she travels around the Somerset region — Our little Linville Café even made it into the story. I feel incredibly honoured to be part of something so meaningful.

Having lost my own mum to dementia, this one is very close to my heart. The more awareness, understanding and compassion we create in our communities, the better.

Meet Charlie and Dave! 🚲🇳🇿

They’re travelling around Australia on their tandem bike and popped into Linville the other day for a Cake in a Can (Now Kiwi approved 😆) and today stopped back in for coffee! (Also approved) 😊

Thankfully today was a little quieter, so we actually got to stop and chat properly — and honestly, hearing people’s stories is one of the best parts of this place.

They’re from Christchurch and arrived into Brisbane Airport before jumping straight on the bike and heading towards the BVRT. They’ve now completed the end-to-end and are making their way back through the BVRT before continuing all the way to Melbourne… by tandem bike! Absolute legends.

Of course I had to ask the important question… who rides on the back? 😂
Charlie told me it’s her spot, but she swears she never secretly stops pedalling without Dave noticing.

(Sorry Al… I absolutely would 😅)
