The 2026 Malanda Show Rural & Junior Rural Ambassador Program is officially underway, and we are currently seeking donations towards entrant and winner gift packs.

This year’s program includes 2 male entrants and 2 female entrants who will participate in leadership development, agricultural enterprise tours, public speaking, volunteering, and community engagement activities throughout the lead-up to the Malanda Show.

We would love to support and acknowledge our entrants for their commitment and involvement through thoughtfully prepared gift packs, and we are calling on our wonderful local businesses and community organisations for support.

Donations can include:
• Gift vouchers
• Products or merchandise
• Local business items
• Self-care or grooming items
• Rural/agricultural merchandise
• Experiences or services
• Or contributions of any kind

All sponsors and donors will be acknowledged and thanked throughout the program and across our social media platforms.

Hello from the MALANDA Bakery team & the Healys PLATYPUS BAKEHOUSE in the RED SHED on EACHAM ROAD (not on the main road).

Just letting you know that we bake our products to order (or have some pre- made frozen pies 🥶 for your convenience).

Our recipes are not fancy, they are
more "old school comfort food " & we make them extremely cost effective, with quality ingredients, which we try to pass this on to you @ $25.00 each.

We use local when we can:

*BEEF from MALANDA QUALITY MEAT
*SEAFOOD from MALANDA SEAFOOD *VEGETABLES & STOCK from SPAR & TFN .
* MILK from Dairy Farmers

You can feed a family if you make some yummy mashed potato, veggies and gravy.

We also cater for vegetarian

We also make to order fruit pies 🥧😋
(Or have some pre made frozen pies 🥶 for your convenience).

WARNING 😉
1/.You DO need to allow us two - five days notice to make it specially (depending on the product).

2/.SEAFOOD PIES ARE AVAILABLE but subject to cost & availability of ingredients (that means we need to buy stock first and cost it to get a price)

3/.For an extra $4.90 we can make these into a pea or cottage pie for you.

4/. We strongly advise that we can NOT cater for any food allergies.
We work with highly skilled food handlers, follow food handling protocols, keep or workplace's clean impervious in accordance to the TRC , to keep our products safe. BUT there might be traces of allergens so

We had many surprised 😲 and grateful 🙏 customers this morning as SMARTELC put $500 towards breakfast for customers today ( Tuesday 21stApril 2026),
Some comments were " what amazing community spirit" & " I will have a great day now"
