Our Pausa team is growing, and we’re on the lookout for someone special to become part of our project.

If you know a talented chef with a genuine passion for authentic Italian cuisine, fresh pasta, and traditional cooking, we’d love to hear from them.

We’re looking for someone with solid experience, strong leadership skills, and a deep appreciation and knowledge of Italian food and culture. If they love working with fresh, seasonal ingredients and take pride in cooking from scratch, we’d love to meet them.

We’re open to both full-time and part-time opportunities for the right person because finding the right fit is more important than simply filling a position.

Back home in Nuoro, Sardinia.

An unforgettable experience learning from Maestra Raffaella Marongiu, one of the last masters preserving the ancient art of Filindeu.

Often described as the rarest pasta in the world, Filindeu—meaning “Threads of God”—is considered one of the most difficult pastas on Earth to make. Created entirely by hand using techniques that have been passed down through generations, it is one of Sardinia’s greatest cultural treasures.

This is about much more than pasta. It is about preserving knowledge, honouring tradition, and understanding the values that have shaped one of the world’s Blue Zones.

In Sardinia, where exceptional longevity is woven into everyday life, traditions like this connect generations through patience, craftsmanship, community and purpose. They are part of a cultural heritage that deserves to be protected and celebrated.

I feel incredibly fortunate to have had the chance to learn from one of the true custodians of this remarkable tradition—and I loved every minute of the experience.

While Diana and I are enjoying this special time away with our family, Pausa is still open, the coffee is still flowing, and the show goes on thanks to our incredible team.

We don’t take for granted that none of this would be possible without the amazing people who keep everything running so smoothly while we’re away.

Being able to truly switch off, knowing our little baby is in the best possible hands, is a gift we’re deeply grateful for.

In an industry where people often come and go, most of our team have been with us for years. They’ve become part of the DNA of Pausa, and that’s something we’re incredibly proud of.

To our team: we love you all and are so grateful for your hard work, commitment, and the care you put into Pausa every single day.

And to all our customers, thank you for continuing to support them while we’re away. They’re the reason Pausa feels just like Pausa, even when we’re not behind the coffee machine.

Chapt.1 La Grecia.
We started our holiday in Greece and it did not disappoint. It was the first time for both of us and we absolutely fell in love. A few days in Athens and a day trip to the beautiful island of Hydra were the perfect start to our trip. The history, culture, people and the food were incredible… Italy might have some competition!

While we were busy researching the best souvlaki and loukoumades, our amazing team have kept the wheels turning at Pausa and we are so grateful.

Can’t wait to return to our neighbors in Greece another time and explore further. For now, we have arrived in Sardegna and soaking up all the family time. Unafatzaunaratza. 🇬🇷🇮🇹
