Back in Year 7 History class, I was assigned a group project on the Arc de Triomphe and the French Revolution.
Being the overachiever I was, I wanted that High Distinction. I suggested we dress up as Napoleon on the day of presentation, dive deep into the research, and create a presentation worthy of extra marks!
My assigned partner? Let's call him Tim...
Tim's contribution was... holding our A2 presentation board while I researched, designed, presented, and answered every question on the day of presentation...
Somehow, we both walked away with the same grade. 😅
Funny how life has a way of repeating itself when we don't learn & select the same people again.
Sometimes you'll pour your heart into building something. You'll do the planning, the late nights, the problem-solving, the creative vision, the cooking, the photos & videos and all the work behind the scenes. Then someone else turns up and share the credit.
But if history teaches us anything, it's that you don't stop moving forward because of a setback!
The Arc de Triomphe wasn't built to celebrate standing still. It was built to honour perseverance, ambition, and victory.
So here's to new chapters, bigger goals, and continuing the journey regardless of who's holding the presentation board!
