Councillor Trudy Tschui-Cassowary Coast Regional Council has been kind to attend a walk over the recently constructed path to discuss issues such as contined washouts and maintenance of the path, with some parts overgrown and reduced from 1 mtr, too just 200mm in some parts.
Some whipper snipper maintenance is requested more often in places, like cnr butler Rd, and maintenance of the beautiful drive from Narragon to Bingil which is featured in tourism brochures yet maintenance is currently to poison area.
If you have any questions or issues, please feel free to meet at Bingil Bay Cafe this Tuesday 28/1 at 4 pm, and join the conversations.
Regards,
Rocka

Bingil Bay Campground Update from Rocka.

Great news:
At tomorrow's meeting, CCRC have a recommended report to fix up and or replace the playground via an infrastructure grant application by Djiru who now lease the area. Total cost estimate is approximately $7,000 of which the CCRC pay approximately half.
Many thanks to both parties and a great result for community.
Thanks Mark Velante CCRC for your solution and efforts.

Bingil Bay Campground issues.

A few locals were involved initially to find out what is going on. Our Cr. Trudy I believe, sent an email saying its been leased out.
With this not providing answers, I spoke to Mark Valente from CCRC who drew up the lease and bought his attention to CCRC meeting 25/5/23 and what was said then. Mark was great and took community issues with him to a meeting with current management.
Outcome.
1. The toilets are now available to be used by the community, as they should be.
2. The new management are in the process of applying for a CCRC infrastructure grant and I'm told are a big chance of getting the funding to fix the playground and re open it to community.
Thanks Mark for listening and finding the solution.
