STALLHOLDERS - I was almost scammed tonight. Application to trade at Queenscliff Music Festival in November. The red flag for me was how quickly I received replies from the sender. I then went online to Queenscliff Music Festival website and saw that the prices were way higher than what the email was requesting. Whoever is emailing stallholders, is trying to lure them with the lower pricing. They were willing to accept a deposit too. Be careful everyone.

THANK YOU so much - this is why I make pierogi, so I can properly satisfy pierogi cravings. I want you to love my food - & not from an ego-driven need for validation. I’m a foodie first and I know what it’s like to pay good money for an average or below average eating experience. Have you ever taken a bite of something and thrown it in the bin? A market organiser once shared with me how they bought pierogi from a van at a Geelong event. No flavour, unpleasant & apparently it went straight in the bin after one bite. I had a similar experience with an Uber Eats pierogi order this past weekend in Melbourne. They came deep-fried like a samosa. I do eat deep fried food - but they really weren’t good. $25 for 8.
If my customers aren’t happy, there’s no way I can be happy. Feedback (like this post) is much appreciated (for the effort in sharing on socials) but it also fuels me when I’m up to pierogi # 426 on day 4 of production (leading up to a market). THANK YOU!

Save the date and bring your woolly gloves, I’m doing a night market! Friday 31st of July, 5pm to 9pm at Clifton Springs Golf Club. Cups of hot Polish soup and steaming comfort-bowls of Pierogi, boiled or pan-fried. Honourable mention to my new market lights that I’m excited to test-drive and of course to all the other stallholders who will be attending this Christmas in July event. Today I made Polish Pickle Soup - Zupa Ogórkowa - with a twist. Macaroni for more texture and comfort factor. Buttered Irish Soda Bread (for dipping) from Bacús Beagh . The most delicious crunchy paprika oil from Premium Chilli oil & pantry goods by Soka Pantry Co. . Incredible soup! Enjoyed by folks who don’t even like pickles.

Ready for today! Staying in Melbourne for two nights so there’s no rush back to Geelong (during peak hours) and my car is securely parked nearby during our adventures. 🙂
