At Bricks & Mortar Coffee Co our passion for delicious coffee is present in every bean we roast. Did you know we roast all our coffee ‘in house’ 2 to 3 times a week? (if you’re in the area, you can definitely smell it in the air 😎) This is to ensure we always have fresh coffee ready for you and all our amazing wholesale partners.
Kept in these black containers, it ensures the freshness is kept for our cafe use. The smell of coffee that fills the air when that lid comes off is divineeeeeee 🙌🏼

ROASTING UP SOME HOUSE BLEND FACTS 😎

Pete roasts twice a week to keep our stock SUPER fresh (if you’re in the area, you can definitely smell it in the air)

Our House Blend is made up of two origins- Brazil & Costa Rica

We roast these separately in 13kg batches, with their own unique profile & then we post blend (simpler terms, mix together)

All our coffee is bagged & weighed up by hand.
Our 250g & 1KG bags go straight to shelf in our shop & boxed up for wholesale orders.

Another commonly asked question - What’s the shelf life?
We’d recommend drinking our house blend 4 - 6 days after the roast date and keeping the bag sealed + out of direct sunlight.

Coffee doesn’t ’go off’ but it flattens in flavour and loses its vibrancy, so 4 - 5 weeks is the recommended lifespan of our fresh, roasted coffee.

All this happens right behind our shop in the roastery, pretty cool huh?
