Mr. Bekele Gemeda cultivates heirloom Ethiopian varieties on 9.5 hectares in Worka, Yirgacheffe, farming alongside his children and two married sons. In a region where coffees are often blended by cooperatives, this single-producer lot is kept separate to showcase exceptional quality and care.
This washed Grade 1 Yirgacheffe is handpicked, fully washed, and carefully dried at elevations between 1,780–2,100 meters. The result is a clean, fruit-forward cup with jammy peach, fresh stone fruit, mellow caramel, and a lively malic acidity, reflecting Mr. Bekele’s patience and dedication at every stage.
