Mr. Bekele Gemeda cultivates heirloom Ethiopian varieties on 9.5 hectares in Worka, Yirgacheffe, farming alongside his children and two married sons. In a region where coffees are often blended by cooperatives, this single-producer lot is kept separate to showcase exceptional quality and care.

This washed Grade 1 Yirgacheffe is handpicked, fully washed, and carefully dried at elevations between 1,780–2,100 meters. The result is a clean, fruit-forward cup with jammy peach, fresh stone fruit, mellow caramel, and a lively malic acidity, reflecting Mr. Bekele’s patience and dedication at every stage.

Elias Roa produces coffee at Finca Tamana in Pital, Huila, alongside his wife Bellanid, daughter Derlin and son in law Diego Campos, a Colombian Barista Champion. Working with heirloom varieties linked to African origins, the family focuses on careful processing including dry fermentation, fresh water washing and slow drying on raised beds to express clarity and origin in every lot.

This coffee is decaffeinated using ethyl acetate, a naturally occurring compound found in fruits such as bananas. The process gently removes caffeine while preserving the structure and flavour of the coffee. The result is a clean and expressive decaf, with sweetness, balance and clarity carried through in the cup.

Arturo Arango is part of a new wave of Colombian producers focused on quality and precision. After studying agroindustries in Argentina, he returned home and purchased El Paraíso, a 25 hectare farm in Barcelona, Quindío. There, he began restoring old trees and planting varieties such as Caturra, Costa Rica and Java, building a foundation for long term quality.

This microlot is 100% Caturra, grown between 1,300 and 1,450 metres in volcanic soil. Cherries are handpicked, floated and fermented underwater for 30 hours, then gently washed and dried under controlled conditions. The result is a vibrant, clean cup that reflects Arturo’s meticulous and considered approach.

José Javier Chicué runs El Progreso, a family-operated farm in Guadalupe, Huila, sitting at 1686 metres above sea level. After their father divided the family land, José and his siblings transitioned into coffee, building their own fermentation tanks and drying infrastructure over time. Today, the farm operates collaboratively, with each family member playing a role across key stages of production.

El Progreso follows a carefully structured washed process. Only ripe cherries are selected, fermented in open tanks, then fully washed before drying slowly over 15 to 20 days using covered and solar methods. This considered approach results in a clean, balanced cup with gentle sweetness and clarity.
