You might have noticed (we’re sure you have) that Smokin Bro & Co has been on an “extended holiday” 😎
The truth is, we’ve sold the business and are having some well-earned r&r time before pursuing the next chapter of our lives.
We were fortunate to secure the sale of Smokin Bro & Co at the end of 2025, just before Christmas and have since been working and consulting closely with the exciting new Smokehouse “just down the road" as us country folk would say, in Dubbo, NSW🇦🇺
We know it’s not Mudgee, but it’s close and absolutely worth the visit. The venue is top knotch and the owner is a quality human. If you're craving an amazing BBQ fix then be sure to check them out at Smoked on Depot, you might even find some very familiar flavours😉 Please show them the same incredible support you always showed us. This decision wasn’t made lightly. We deeply understand the impact this has on our community, our loyal customers, our followers, our friends, our family and especially our staff, who stood by us with unwavering loyalty throughout this amazing journey. To every single person who supported us in any capacity over the years THANK YOU. Truly. We are endlessly grateful🤝🏽
What started as a simple idea in 2018 grew into something bigger than we ever imagined. Along the way we were humbled by many business awards, BBQ competition trophies, national magazine features, national TV segments, international recognition and endless praise from our customers. But if we’re honest, those weren’t the real wins.
Our goal was always simple: to bring Mudgee a high-quality, unique food experience that added something special to our region. Knowing we achieved that and the fact so many of you embraced it is what makes us the proudest😇
It’s no secret how hard we worked to make it all happen. Our staff worked hard. Our families worked hard. Small business ownership comes with sacrifice, long hours, and relentless commitment. While we wouldn’t change the journey for a second, burnout eventually found us🥱
Time is the one thing you can’t get back. So now, we’re choosing to invest it where it matters to us most, with our family, our health, our peace and pursuing other life goals.
