The restaurant became very successful with regular local customers. KTOWN in Sydney became a famous place for its authentic dishes brought down for generations! All secret recipes that can not be mimicked. Sunny has extensive experience & knowledge in the hospitality industry. K TOWN Restaurant ultimately started with the idea to show the community what real Korean Food is all about. Real Authentic dishes. Nae Young, (Jay's Grandmother, Sunnys' Mother) the creator of the recipes at K TOWN Restaurant, came to Australia 40 years ago. She had made a name for herself & become famous among the Korean Community in Sydney. Koreans from as far as Melbourne had come to Sydney to Pick up the ''Kimchi'' Nae Young was famous for. Nae Young became so famous within the Korean Community the public could not resist but to support us open our 1st Restaurant in the Sydney CBD which Sunny ran for 16 years. The menu can be described as a Specialised Korean cuisine with a 3rd generation history. Core menu items at “KTOWN” such as Dumplings (korean style handmade dumplings), D.I.Y BBQ Meat (coming soon) & Noodles (korean style handmade noodles, served in selected broth) are served together with selected side dishes to compliment the mains. Thus, the menu attracts both those customers looking for Restaurant food that they know they will like as well as more adventurous customers who wish to try something a little bit different.
