It’s with a full heart that we share some bittersweet news. After an incredible journey, it’s time for us to say goodbye to High Horse and welcome its new owners.
We could never have imagined what this Cafe would become. What started as a small café has grown into something far greater than we ever dreamed—a place where people reconnected after decades apart, new friendships were formed, families came together, milestones were celebrated, and so many of you found a home away from home.
We’re most proud of the community we’ve built together. Getting to know your names, your coffee orders, your families, and hearing your stories has been the greatest privilege. It’s those everyday moments, conversations, and relationships that we’ll treasure forever.
A massive thank you to our incredible staff over the years who have made this all possible and supported us.
This hasn’t been an easy decision. Hospitality is an incredibly rewarding industry, but it also comes with many sacrifices. The time feels right for us to step back and spend more precious time with our family.
We’ve taken great care in choosing the new owners, and we’re so excited to welcome them into the High Horse family. They already understand just how special this community is and how much every single customer means. We know they’ll continue to care for this café with the same heart, warmth and passion that has always made it so special. Our incredible staff will be staying on, so you’ll continue to see the familiar faces you know and love.
We will be popping in and out over the next fortnight to help with the transition, but Sunday 28.6 will officially be our last day as owners.
From the bottom of our hearts, Thank you for every coffee shared, every conversation, every smile, every laugh, and for allowing us to be a small part of your lives. Whether you visited us every day or only occasionally, you helped make High Horse what it is today.
We can’t wait to watch High Horse continue to grow and thrive, and we hope you’ll show the new owners the same kindness and support you’ve so generously shown us.
