The 8th Taiwan Film Festival in Australia is coming to Perth for the first time, running from 15–17 August at Palace Cinemas Raine Square. For one weekend only, the Taiwan Film Festival returns with a bold and diverse lineup from award-winning dramas to daring explorations of desire. Opening the program is the internationally acclaimed DAUGHTER’S DAUGHTER, the winner of Golden Horse Awards’ Best Original Screenplay, is a deeply moving exploration of mother-daughter bonds. Also, THE CHRONICLES OF LIBIDOISTS dives boldly into modern sexuality with Taiwan’s most daring film in years; and an uncompromising revenge thriller ORGAN CHILD.



As well as First Nations selection that explores the stories and culture of Taiwanese First Nations people; and relive cinematic history with the restored 4K edition of Hou Hsiao-Hsien’s timeless classic FLOWERS OF SHANGHAI.
