Calvin just came back from Melbourne for his Q grader recalibration! 👏🏻 👏🏻


Q Grader, often referred to as the 'sommeliers' course of coffee, is a coffee exam program with 20 exams, comprises palate & olfactory sensory, cupping skill, green grading and general coffee knowledge. It’s aiming to improve not only coffee standards across the globe but also farmer lives and all other stakeholders of coffee industry. This credential requires licensed Q graders to recalibrate every 3 years to maintain the licence and keep their standards up to date. Coffee Quality Institute

We are looking for a passionate barista to join our team.

At Hemingway, we are always striving to share the best consistent experience with our friends. To achieve that, we offer coffee and beverage menu you will never seen in other places in Perth(even in Australia), from guest singles program, seasonal signature beverage to frozen reserve coffees.

We will need someone likeminded to be part of our team to continue the growth.

It’s a funny time we live in right now. A lot of sadness and not all that much to celebrate.

Sometimes with a little sadness we are offered something to truly celebrate.

From Barista to Head Barista and all around legend in between, since the opening day at Hemingway ,Anna, has been providing the people of Perth with the most amazing coffee experiences.

Today is her last day at Hemingway but we want to celebrate her. We want to celebrate the hardest worker in any team, a driven and kind person who’s thirst for knowledge is unmatched. I know you will all miss Anna as we will. But now, we celebrate.

Frozen Reserve Menu Vol.2 ❄️- Part 3

Exclusive on Pourover ☕️

Poursteady is an automated, on-demand brewer being hand built by some passionate robotics engineers. We have the 3 cup model, and the equipment gives us the power to deliver multiple consistent & high quality brews simultaneously while also boosting customer engagement with the push of a button. ✨

Our baristas will be able to set up pourovers program and have them brew to perfection without slowing down the crushing of espressos on the coffee machine.
But more than just efficiency, the Poursteady brings a definite theatre, and therefore engagement to the preparation of our filter program.

Now, we invite you to open up your perceptions and memories to a new horizon.

Frozen Reserve Menu Vol.2 ❄️- Part 2

Why Freezing? 🥶

Yes, we kept our coffee in freezer. How? Select the best of the best, dialled in, dosed individually, single pack vacuum-sealed & labelled.
By doing these, we locked in the flavours and freshness of the coffee at its best aged period.
When we brew the coffee, we take it out from our freezer and grind at a frozen state. The result is truely amazing. Not only you will find an extremely consistent grinds particle which will greatly enhance the coffee extraction and the flavour expressions in the cup, also you can experience again that particular coffees you enjoyed in the near future. ❄️

Here at Hemingway, we are always striving to provide the best consistent coffee experience to you. To achieve that, we constantly and thoughtfully source the best coffees from different roasteries across the globe. Every single coffee you taste here at our store has been attentively selected through our monthly cupping program (a systematic objective approach to assess coffees )by our baristas to assure the quality. The coffee program is oversaw by our talented Head Barista Anna! and Head of Coffee Calvin 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐯𝐢𝐧 𝐓𝐚𝐧𝐠]

Our goal is to connect the farmers, roasters, baristas and our guests   by sharing knowledge, stories and most importantly,  the coffees. ☕️

From tomorrow Monday 31/1, all dine-in patrons are requested to show their proof of vaccination to our staff when you place an order. Checking in to the venue is still required by using the SafeWA/ ServiceWA app or manually register on our provided fill-in sheets.
