LONG POST ALERT!
So many of you have messaged me regarding my new biz , asking if I’m going to continue on with C&S.
The short answer is yes. I’m not giving up caking completely, and I’m keeping my kitchen registered and my books open (for now). I will keep doing large corpirate orders, but won’t be taking on retail orders for the moment.
I have owned and run C&S by myself for 6 years.
6 years of bloody hard work, so many highs, a few tears and more love for my job than you can imagine- producing up to 1000 cupcakes from my registered kitchen some weekends with markets, huge orders and my personal fav: The Treat Box.
However, since having a family, the demands of raising a young family have made it extremely difficult to be consistent in my biz.
What many people don’t realise, is that producing just one cake takes hours over several days. Ordering ingredients, boxes, invoicing, going back and forth with the client, making the cake, decorating it and then delivering it.
So for now, I’m hanging up the apron (in a retail sense!) While I concentrate on my new biz.
Working in beauty therapy for the last 12/18 months has reignited my love for the industry, and I’ll be focusing purely on spray tanning one day a week from the studio of .
This will enable me to still work with some wonderful people, but it will also give me the much wanted time with my two beautiful boys and my family.
I can honestly say that to date C&S has been one of my proudest achievements, and the change is not because I feel ‘forced’ to stop, but is rather due to a change of my current priorities and is my own decision.
I’ve met the most incredible people on this journey. I’ve made the most wonderful, loyal friends that I know will be with me no matter what the seasons bring.
I’ve learned that life is far too short not to follow your dreams, and I will never stop supporting others in their small biz journey.
To every single one of you who has supported me and believed in me, you will have my love and gratitude forever 🙏🏻
I’m going to turn this page into a little ‘blog’ full of recipes, and my baking for fun (because let’s face it- I’ll never stop baking completely!) So please keep following me and keeping in touch with me.
